Keeping the opponent from scoring is more important, points are going to be scored in the NBA no matter what. If you want to watch a non-competitive soulless offensive only game watch the All Star game. Ugliest game there is.

In other words you're making this a pointless thread. The need for balance between offense and defense to succeed in the NBA is a given. I want my time back please.

Those who support scoring over defense should be pretty upset we didn't keep Enes for $16M/per and trade Gobert for whatever we could get.

Great defense stops offense. It creates missed shots and turnovers which lead to fast breaks and easy layups.
