What is Walker Kessler's upside?

Really depends on two things:

1. How well he is able to add strength and retain w/e athleticism he does have.
2. His ability to get a jump shot.

I don't think he will ever be some elite finisher/target. He does finish what he gets very well, but I dont think he himself is a big enough target to get the amount of looks that the top tier rim runners can.

I think his upside is to be about as good as that ex ute center that plays for the spurs. A decent starter. i think his lack of athleticism and shooting prevents him from reaching all star levels.

I agree with this. I doubt he becomes a star, but I think he can develop into a solid starter for sure.

Dude, I like Jacob Poetl I really do but I’m not seeing Poetl having the same defensive impact in games that Kessler is already enjoying. No reason we can’t have another future DPOY with this kid IMO. And by the way, Gobert was absolutely awful, barely playable his first year in the league.

I actually think Kessler isn't too far off from Jarrett Allen in a few years time. Probably with a better shot-selection. I guess I would go as far to say that Kessler has a higher ceiling. He is impressive!
