Derrick "Howard" Favors
Gordon "6'8 Hornacek" Hayward
Enes "Malone" Kanter
Alec "Roy" Burks

I know I should probably choose Favors, but why am I leaning toward Kanter

Kanter - Most unknown, could be a great impact right away or need a few years of work.
Favors - Obviously showed the flashes of greatness last year and if he's been working his tail off like we've been hearing we could see a big jump in production.
Burks - Unknown like Kanter and could contribute right away or be a ways out.
Hayward - Expect him to just gradually improve and pick up where last season left off.

That's a tough one...I like Favors' long term potential the most (obviously), but in terms of who I think will be the most fun to watch TODAY, probably Burks.

Kanter, j/k :-)...Burks, loved watching him stroke 3's at the charity game. could fit in nicely.

Favors needs to dunk on everyone (everyone) this year and show he is unstoppable in the post. He's the future of the franchise. He's the guy I'm watching on every play.
Burks needs to show what his potential is, or if we're going to be having 'Can the AB experiment please end?' threads.
Kanter needs to show that he can rebound and finish at this level and also hit an 18' jumper, but we know what he is more or less. I don't think he's really going to dominate. It'd be nice if he can make some passes.
Hayward, we know what he is: a solid Hornacek-meets-Shane Battier complementary player; he needs to continue to develop as a facilitator, but isn't a huge deal.

My real questions are:
- Do we have a point guard?
- Does CJ Miles have another level or some consistency at his current level?
- Can Al Jefferson do what he does within a team context?
- How soon can we draft Quincy Miller, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist or Harrison Barnes so that we have an imposing player at every position?

Most excited to see Burks. Most nervous to see Kanter.

My sentiment exactly. Burks could get 20-25 minutes a game to strutt his stuff, maybe more if Corbin benches Bell like he should. Kanter will be lucky to get 15 because of the logjam at the 4-5. If Kanter doesn't hit his stride early, then he could end up in D-League hell.

I think Kanter will get the Okur/Fess/Elson back-up minutes. But yeah, that might only be 15 mins., especially if Millsap continues to take minutes at PF.

I bet the Jazz get some offers for Millsap right away. He's probably the biggest trade bait from other teams' perspective. Maybe Miles too.

So who's the unlucky guy who sits behind the bench in street clothes? If we carry 13 players, somebody has to sit back there.

We still have Elson? It wouldn't entirely surprise me if we bring back Fess as a third back-up. He's a bit injurred though, isn't he?

I want to see if Favors and Hayward can further develop chemistry together. Early last year I said I thought Hayward could be are franchise player. I can definitely see him scoring 18 to 20 per and 6 or 7 assists 6 rebounds from the sf position. He comes up big in the clutch on both sides of the ball. I loved how Hayward and Favors played off each other in the Laker game. I want to see more of that.
