What should the teams be for Al's extension?

So whose gonna start the thread on what the terms should be on Jefferson's contract extension. I don't have it in me to do it.

It's pretty obvious that Millsap has hit a ceiling and is not happy here. His play is sporadic at best and his hustle is not there. Add to that the fact that he refused an extension and is undersized I think he's either traded or gone at the end of the season.

Compare that to Al who works hard, is dependable, especially late game, and seems to have embraced the Jazz, I think Al is a keeper - at the right price.

My opinion is that with his age and limitations (athletically) he definitely shouldn't get anything more than he is this year. My hope is that he would sign a discounted contract for more years to guarantee the continuation of his career.

Maybe 13 per for five. Not horrible all things considered.

Box out, pass the ball on double teams and at least try on D (AKA no more standing and watching). For every time you fail to do that we taser him in the lady parts.

He is dependable Dutch.

You can depend on him to score and you can depend on him to play ****ty D.

Dunno how possible this is but Al could be a very good contributor as a role playing scorer off the bench. Paid 6th man money.

If we absolutely have to resign him, it can't be longer than 3 years....but even that's a stretch for me. Hopefully someone overpays, lol.

tell that on the guy playing pick and roll defense with him.
if i was on the pick and roll with him i would jsut stop defending and start walking to the other side of the floor
cant depend on him to defend

Dear cc,

You're as cunning as Cici.
Ouch. I mean OUCH!

Al is who he is, and he likes to be here. He has faults, yes, that's why he shouldn't be maxed out, but right now he is our best big player. Also, I wanted to mention that if he plays next to Favors, Favors covers for his defensive weaknesses much more than Millsap.

he is still ballhogging
and taking road games of.
so the terms for his new contract should be 0 minutes

13 million per is too much

He can depend on him not to help. See? Dependable.

I bet you a twinkie that he gets more than that at the end of the year.

Edit: from us or someone else.

Not from us

Edit: Your edit came after my original

Oh gawd, really?

Twinkie: Former Hostess cream filled desert pastry -thing-. (just to clarify for the mentally challenged)

Twinkie is a racial pejorative used by most American Indians to refer to a European American, with little or no social or blood links to any tribe, who claims to be an American Indian.

It was a joke. Relax.

I have a bad feeling the Jazz sign him for too much. I dont care for him, but maybe at the right price.

I could live with about 8 mil per year four 4 years, and have him come off the bench and be used when we need some offense. He can score. Which is nice. But as we all know, his defense is atrocious.

I think the Jazz offer somewhere around 14 per. Hopefully for only 4 years.
