What type of candidate can beat Trump?

I haven't ignored any of his posts on the subject. I wrote a more complete response to your stupidity earlier. I guess the message just isn't going in.

You seem to have a very juvenile, very simple minded, very insulated and very ignorant view of drug use.

No one needs to cover for anyone. Fish has been open about PAST drug use. And even if it was current, the guy is hard working, provides for his family, and on and on.

You seem to see drug use as some sort of boogeyman. Almost as if everything you know about drugs you learned from the D.A.R.E. program.

Grow the **** up.

I was just too smart to get involved with hard drugs. Now who is very juvenile, very simple minded, very insulated and very ignorant view of drug use.

You?
It's you, right?
Yeah, I'm going with you.
Final answer, lock that **** in.

So now you think moderators are intentionally messing with your posts?

anyone know this guy in real life? His family might want to do a wellness check, this one is obviously losing his grip on reality.

You may be right Gameface they say as you get very old you start reversing back into childhood, or is it as a liberal you just don't like someone disagreeing with you? You liberals preach about tolerance, but then attack anyone who does not agree with your views. Sorry but I love my country and I know open borders, sanctuary states/cities, late term abortions, health care for illegals, etc. is not good for our country.

I haven't really read any of this thread, but this article from the Bulwark seemed to fit the thread title at least, https://thebulwark.com/the-breakup/. As an anti-Trump Republican myself, so much in the article reflects my own feelings about both Trump and the extreme left. Here are some sections I thought were particularly good.

"What people like me have decided is that despite the policy goodies we get with Trump, despite the enormous social and professional pressure to pledge allegiance and kiss the ring, the larger costs and risks of Trump’s presidency vastly outweigh the real positive goods he has delivered to Republicans and conservatives.

"There aren’t enough tax cuts and judges in the world to justify a president who stands on the stage with Vladimir Putin and sides against America’s intelligence community; who ignores, if not invites, foreign interference in our elections and normalizes unprecedented levels of corruption and incompetence; who abdicates moral leadership both at home and abroad; who lies and obstructs justice and then lies about obstructing justice.

"As a result, we Never Trumpers, like Democrats, believe it would be better for the country if Trump were to lose the next election.

"...we [Never-Trump Republicans] are making the case that the Democratic nominee should be the man or woman with the best chance of beating Trump and getting elected president in 2020.

"Yes, Donald Trump is unpopular compared to most first-term presidents. Do you know what else is unpopular? Eliminating private health insurance, late-term abortions, the Green New Deal, open borders, and free health care for illegal immigrants. (This isn’t my opinion. Go look at the polling.)

"And this is what we Never Trumpers can’t quite get our heads around strategically: A majority of Americans support access to abortion in the first 20 weeks of pregnancy, action to address climate change, permanent status for DACA recipients, a pathway to citizenship for people who came to the U.S. illegally, modest reforms on guns, and universal access to healthcare (though support for that last line-item drops to 13 percent if it means eliminating private health insurance).

"Isn’t that a progressive enough agenda? Because that entire list is there for the taking, if Democrats want it.

"...Now, could Democrats win [swing] voters in 2020 by running the most extreme candidate available? Sure, I guess. Anything is possible.

"But what it all comes down to is this: If you’re a Democrat, do you view the possibility of electing a more progressive president as worth the risk of reelecting Trump?"

LOL that does not even make sense. You are too funny. Losing your temper like that is very immature on your part, or is from using hard drugs?
I've never used hard drugs. Ever.

I realize liberals and anti-trumpers on this site think they know everything. You guys just don't.

But this guy knows.

“I know the biggest words.

I have an iq higher than all of them

I went to a better school then they did

I’m smarter than they are

He says I’m brilliant. I am brilliant

I went to an Ivey league school. I was a great student. I am a very smart person.”

Follow your dear leader, he’s really smart. Anyone who admires this self deluded buffoon is a total dope.
