Memphis is out, Conley is likely gone. They would likely trade him now for value. What would you give up for a rest of the season tryout?
Burke and a pick.
Problem with Grizzlies trading him is it then prevents them from making an offer to him for 1 year (so basically, he's gone for good). Have they decided they don't want to try to keep him?
This is incorrect. That rule only applies to non-expiring players who are waived after a trade. The Grizzlies could trade Conley, and still re-sign him in the offseason.Problem with Grizzlies trading him is it then prevents them from making an offer to him for 1 year (so basically, he's gone for good). Burke and a top-20 protected pick.
ThisYou can throw Booker and/or Pleiss into it also.
I've seen nothing that supports the OP saying he is gone. I doubt they move him.
Memphis just hasn't shown to be the kind of team who wants to go into a full rebuild, so I doubt they sell all their pieces off just because of 1 injury.
Answer the question.Conley is loyal. I doubt he leaves.
Answer the question.
What would you give up for a 1 year rental of Conley?
Based on?Conley is loyal. I doubt he leaves.
I would give second rounders. It doesn't work timeline wise and would be a thirty game rental. No thanks. We wouldn't resign him because of Dante. Teague works better because he has another year on his deal.
