You'd have a hard time finding a bookie for that bet. The evidence is pretty conclusive with respect to sugar, high fructose corn syrup, artificial sweeteners, etc. Moreover, there are plenty of studies that show organic alcoholic beverages (i.e. those free from the ******** of mass production; i.e. those made traditionally), when consumed in moderation, can have health BENEFITS.

Surprises me zero percent, and it makes complete sense.

A funny thought process: "my faith prohibits me from consuming this abusable beverage that can tear families apart, and cause an array of health problems-- so I'm gonna go and consume insane amounts of another beverage that is COMPLETELY robbing me of my health, and robbing my country of millions of dollars in preventable chronic health care treatment".

Tonight..

Beers (various)
Wines (various)
Champagne

Have to get up in 4 hours to hit the airport for a 4am flight back to STG.

Hope the state didn't fall apart in my abstinence.

As I got older I'm really starting to appreciate the flavour of good quality red wine especially pinot noir ... every region offers something different and with each year/vintage you have a slightly different flavour to look forward to.

It's also lower in calories than other alcohol (considering you drink less of it vs beer, etc), and red grapes' have properties that's supposed to be good for your heart.
