What's The Last Movie You’ve Seen?

Saw "Gravity" last night... may be I was expecting too much, so felt a bit "meh".


Dunno what the fuss is about, tbh.

Watched Olympus has Fallen finally. Really just kind of meh. Stereotypical "defend the prez" or whatever movie for the most part. More modern Die Hard really, with a lot of the same action, but NONE of the humor. Good effects though, but as always the good guy is far far better than any number of the bad guy, no matter how well-trained the bad guys are. Ever notice that in these movies dumb luck ONLY favors the good guy? Imo, just rewatch the original Die Hard, much more fun.

Agreed. I watched only 1/2 of Olympus and eventually had to literally turn it off.

Watched Jack Reacher when I couldn't sleep. I have to admit that Cruise can carry a cookie-cutter super-spy thriller way better than Butler can carry a cookie-cutter take-the-prez-hostage thriller.

I still need to watch that.
Im a huge fan of lee childs jack reacher books (read them all) but was pissed when i found that cruise got the role of reacher.

Reacher is like 6 foot 5 and 240 pounds with sandy brown hair and blue eyes....... tom cruise?

Seriously though, he does a good job. I read some of the criticism of casting Cruise in the role and I think that he pulled it off pretty good. The author apparently said that the size of Reacher in the novels was to imply an unstoppable force and Cruise pulls that off pretty good in his own way. Worth a viewing.

Ya i have heard he does a really good job in it and have heard its a good movie.

Haven't seen it but unfortunately have to agree about Cruise. He's that guy everyone loves to hate on but he always pulls the roles off perfectly. It's uncomfortable how much I respect and appreciation his acting skills because I can't stand him for some reason.

Tom Cruise is definitely not the best, but he's also nowhere near the worst. People rip on him because he's prolly the worst of the mega-huge superstars. Maybe not, though. Are there others that are worse? Talking big stars here, Tom Cruise level and above.
