What's The Last Movie You’ve Seen?

Watched this movie not really expecting anything. Korean movies are often great, but I don't count on them for pure action films. Was blown away by how good an action movie The Man from Nowhere actually is. Best short description is that it's like a Korean version of Taken. It's like they took everything that was cool about American action movies and jettisoned all the stuff that sucked.

I don't care to view movies that are titled with a phrase that starts with "American". Am I missing too much? American Beauty was a good movie though. And American Psycho starring Christian Bale was funny at the end.

I stumbled across a movie with a terrible title - The Thing On The Doorstep. Boy, that sounds like a must-see, right?

Watched that Scientology doc last night. Pretty interesting although it was obviously very slanted so its tough to say what was accurate and what wasn't. A few things though.

1. Is John Travolta mentally handicapped? He seems slow, and looking back he's always seemed slow
2. Tom Cruise is a crazy mother ****er. Guarantee they will find a hidden room in his house with hundreds of dead bodies or something crazy like that
3. L Ron Hubbard was not a good person. Tough to support a religion that was started by a legitimately bad guy
4. Their teaching are not really any crazier than any other religion

Pretty interesting though.

Loved it. Would make a revised version of my top 5 films of 2014 list.

Re: Nightcrawler

It's def on my list and I have it, I just have not given it a watch yet.

About a week ago, I saw Martin Scorcese's After Hours (1985). A film in the absurdist camp of movie making. It has some great camera work by Mr. Michael Ballhaus. I believe this was his first movie for Mr. Scorcese and ending up doing many more. It also has some scenes with the sexy Linda Fiorentino. Oh, Linda.

I also learned or maybe this is urban film myth that the scenes in the street were shot in guerrilla style and no film permits were pulled.

90% on RT.

Y tu mama también

**** man, that movie is soooo good. What took you so long?

Y tu mama también, si. E sua mãe também, haha.

Yeah, awesome.. I loved it.

I had heard of the movie long time ago, but I think it is not so famous here because is from Mexico. But the movie definitely deserves.

Yeah this is also on Netflix if anyone's interested.

I mean, the action was good, but the story's pretty thin. I guess if you're not into thinking too much this is the movie to help you pass the time. There are better Korean thrillers out there though.
