What's The Last Movie You’ve Seen?

Just watched the latest Macbeth adaptation, the one with Michael Fassbender. If you like your Shakespeare dark and Scottish, this might well be the movie for you...

So everyone knows the prom scene, it's just a incredible piece of cinema that directors like Tarantino and Edgar Wright place in their top movies of all time just because of that scene. The way the camera moves throughout the scene is mesmerizing. It's something you never forget once you see it. Because of that scene I always considered this a horror movie, well really leading up to the prom scene it's not really a horror movie. It's more of a drama/character study of a person who is alone in the world and is pretty badly bullied, the scene in the girls locker room is tough to watch. Those girls are so nasty to her. And Carrie's mom is just a nut job.

The performances are just terrific, Sissy Spacek was cast really well because she just looks and acts the part. Because of that look, there is a bit of creepiness factor to it just makes the prom scene more amazing than it would be with a different actress. And when that scene happens you sympathize for her more because how well she played the role. I really liked the actress who played the gym teacher who is on Carrie's side and encourages her to stand up for herself. When she slapped the crazy chick I applauded.

Everything from the prom scene on is pretty fantastic and certainly elevates it. I would recommend watching the movie as a whole so it makes it the scene have more of a impact knowing everything she's been through.

Just got out of Star Wars. I thought it was the best one yet, not going to spoil the end for those that haven’t seen it but the end, a little mind blowing. Going to lead into another film, weather it’s Solo or not.

Give that woman an oscar. Seriously, top notch acting. I am looking forward to Krasinski's other films.

Just watched it. Great movie.
 
Dead Pool 2. Not as good as 1 I think, they tried to hard to duplicate it instead of just making another good movie on a similar premise, and the 4th wall breaks were not as pointed as I would have liked. But I liked it. It was fun to watch.
