What's The Last Movie You’ve Seen?

Fast & Furious 7

Really good. Can't fault it. A great tribute to Paul Walker at the end too, very emotional. In the theatre I actually heard a couple of people sobbing at the ending. I nearly teared up as well.

Thank you Paul for the memories.

Just saw Metallica's Through the Never. Turns out it is not a movie. But a gig that has some movie cuts in it and a little script. A little off the hook with the confusion of reality and halucination. Not too deterministic. But I actually liked the action scenes. Old Skool Metallica anarchistic mood.

That is all.

Metal up yer ***.

I guess there could be worse things up your a....

Saw It Follows this weekend. It was okay but definitely not deserving of its crazy high reviews. Maybe its just that horror movies dont really do much for me.

Its a fine movie. I cant remember the last horror movie I thought was good. The Conjuring maybe? It wasn't really scary but it was well done. The problem with horror is you have to make the characters do stupid **** or it just doesnt work.

I dunno the Conjuring was a real yawner for me.. may be I expected a little too much? I mean it was scary, but I just didn't think the plot was interesting enough.

Drag me to Hell was scarier and there's more story in it IMO. The Ring (part 1, American remake) I thought was very well done, even better & more interesting than the Japanese original.

4th kind > the ring > the conjuring

Drag Me to Hell may have been the most exhausting movie I've ever seen. I didn't really enjoy it but it made me jump every couple minutes for the entire movie.

Finally saw the first Hunger Games. I think it was actually a better movie before the Games started, then it was kind of average. But still like a solid 8. Not in any rush to see the other ones though.

I still haven't seen it but it's on my list...

It was a rip off of the Japanese classic "Battle Royale" (2000).

But I have a feeling that won't be your cup of tea either... it's strictly for those 30 years and under or young at heart. But it is Asian so you might enjoy it.

I don't know if I agree with that. BR is a cult classic and for those that are fans of Mr. Kitano, I don't think age plays into liking this movie. Which reminds me...

I don't know if I had talked about these two movies I saw....I did search the thread and didn't find anything.

Both are Takeshi Mifune flicks and both are available on Netflix....well at least when I saw them which was a couple of months ago.

The first one is Sonatine (1993).

I thought it was a good flick. I think it was Kitano's first time showing here in the US.

88% on RT and 3.5/4 from my boy, Ebert.

The next one was Outrage (2010).

77% on RT.

Yeah I liked Outrage and Beyond Outrage. But yeah I enjoy most Asian movies anyway by default.

BTW, I also prefer the original Infernal Affairs (HK version) to the Departed.

Quite a good film that it actually surprised me. Well acted, nice soundtracks. The film puts you on a rollercoaster and doesn't slow down one bit. %92 on RT.

I liked The Ring. I haven't seen either of the others though.
They are all good.

The 4th kind is probably my favorite horror movie. Most people don't like it though

I'll have to admit I haven't seen that one. A quick search tells me it's 19% on RT, that's gotta be a misprint right?
Not a misprint. Most people don't like it.

It freaks me out like crazy. Everytime I watch I get the chills the whole movie and then im freaked out for a while afterwords.

Aliens ****ing with me is more terrifying than ghosts and other paranormal stuff ****ing with me

I like it when a movie can still freak you out on subsequent viewings. One movie that does that for me is The Mothman Prophecies.

Is Kevin Costner in that one?
