What's The Last Movie You’ve Seen?

Into the Woods . . . I never saw the play before, but heard a few things were significantly changed for the movie like with Jack. It was a decent show. Emily Blunt was a ton better than Anna Kendrick. Chris Pine was pretty good. It is very much a musical. Little Red Riding Hood is annoying.

Agree with this. The 2nd one had easily 30-40 minutes of orc-fight that could be edited out without changing the story one tiny little bit.
 
Watched Snow Piercer. I thought the premise was kind of dumb, the acting was ok, the ending was ridiculous (as in how has that never happened before, with that much snow there had to have been mega-avalanches before, etc.). Also, using kids as machinery was pretty stupid. Also, so they just have a horde of axe wielding psychos in that one compartment all the time like, you know, just in case, since we didn't see any other compartments with hordes of psychos. Also, when exactly did they build the train line that went around the world? Also in a closed environment like that are they breeding bugs, or are the bugs just rounded up every so often or what? Also....ugh nevermind. I guess I really didn't like it and would like those 2 hours of my life back please. I will say it was nice to see Captain America in a different film, and I thought he did a pretty good job of looking confused a lot and getting mad and being very serious the whole time.


Also saw I Frankenstein. Yeah.

So I guess I can sum up that movie night as shoot me now, and Netflix can rot in hell.
 
Is it bad that when my daughter is in her crib and we turn the mobile on and a certain song (Beethoven maybe?) begins, I always say "Ready when you are, Agent Pembry"? Like five times a day this happens. And you either know the movie or don't.

Just have finished Rise of the Planet of the Apes after watching the Dawn. Both were pretty good, they have done a really good job in the whole production, especially the connections of the storylines and the dramatic feel. First time I watch a Planet of the Apes movie - in this case 2. Strongly recommend. But be warned. Might get you to surrender to the leadership of Caesar. Man those eyes! I would die for your cause Caesar!

It was pretty good aside from the Legolas thing, Aragorn mention and the Elf lady and the dwarf's love. That watered the story too much. I really liked what they did with the Necromancer side story and Galadriel's power. It was an upside. Because these side stories of highly powerful Elves and Maiar all have a Silmarillion feel, legendary. The Smaug acting was really good, gotta give all the credit for that. I think Peter Jackson nailed this triology, but got cheesy in a few love scenes and all. Overall, I wouldn't expect too much better.

That's what I feel like it's coming, so I won't give it chance. I will not ruin the high status of the first one that settled in my heart since my childhood. Always loved that scene and always waited for boobs in the end for somehow.

The Maze Runner was surprisingly good. Low expectations sure helped but the acting didn't bother me at all except some for that girl and the story had some depth and character development. It was a bit expository but I don't mind it. I think it set up a good foundation for the sequels.

It was nice to take a break from all the Bergmans and Tarkovskys. 7/10.

Just saw it. It was good. Not great. And not promising I fear. But good enough to watch. It started right off and led to a decent amount of excitement, but ended in a risky spot. Because you can smell the chance of the plot failing to get exciting and lead to a dull concept. But it sure has enlisted my name to the list of people that are going to see it in theaters. The girl's part watered it down a bit and the lead woman is not my first choice to be the mysterious director of some large facility or experiment. I didn't quite get the mood from her. It was going 6 to 8 over 10 and ended about 5 for me, but it left the door open for a legit 8 overall to define the excitement level for me.
