What's the Next Move?

And I'm not saying if Sexton fails he sucks, but this is his time to really prove himself as a starting PG. He should be ready to take the reigns and elevate the team, not just put up stats.
I hope certain posters take into account the roster he will be working with post trade and not use Mike stats with a better roster to compare Collin with though.......

Certainly, but the starting lineup is the same that Conley was working with...

I doubt we will be putting 48 minutes of great ball on the court, but the starting lineup should not be giving up huge insurmountable leads early. They did that in the 2nd half of the Wolves game.

Here's another thing: IF Sexton is actually good, this trade shouldnt make us that much worse.

Still think you had to deal Clarkson to truly be bad enough to get past the Indys/Orlandos.

So on one hand I hope Sexton fails so the team can lose more, but I also hope he is good enough to elevate the team and have actual value as a starting PG.
Disagree here.. because we lost a lot of depth. Expecting the team to not take a dip because Sexton will play an additional 10 minutes a night isn’t realistic. Whose replacing the other 50+ minutes… and yes, I was too lazy to actually look up what the actual numbers are.

Conley is out. More minutes + starter role to Sexton. Remove the safety net, time to grow up. Push Lauri to become the team leader by sending out the previous one.
Sure, Lauri can take an even bigger role on court and take even more shots. But he's still 7ft and needs someone to pass him the ball, create screens and windows etc.

In the locker room, vocality, mentorship etc. - peoples' personalities don't change. Expecting them to is a recipe for both personal and team failure.

And was that because of Sexton as you seem to imply?

He will have to wait until next year. There are like 25 games left of the season. Scoot I guess is best case scenario for a PG to partner up with Lauri.

You are adding things that I did not say.
