I actually just recently bought this game after having not played any NBA sports video games since probably about NBA Live 99.

It is really ****ing hard. I'm honestly wondering whether it's worth trying to climb the learning curve.

I just completed my 2nd season, Josh Smith won the MVP

PG - Beno Udrih
SG- Manu Ginobili
SF - Andrei Kirilenko
PF - Josh Smith
C - Nene Hilario

Rookie PG

Thats one reason why I hate NBA games. It's way to easy to build a ridiculous roster. I wish they gave you an incentive to stay under the LT or something like that.

It's probably not worth it, unless you got some hours to burn. The hardest thing for me is that the release on the shot has to be timed perfectly or it's not going in, even if with the best shooters sometimes. The timing is different for every player, so you have to adjust for each. It's even worse online, where it's virtually impossible to make jump shots with anyone. I've played a game where I shot 25% from the field and still won. Hopefully they've fixed that since the last time I played, since that was several months ago.

during my 5th season right now

PG Knight
SG Hayward
SF Derrick Williams
PF Love
C Favors

Bench
Jimmer
Mayo
Ibaka
and crap that does not make rotation

Pretty easy to make teams that are very good. Also you can develop players to be really good. I have developed Gordon to be the best shooter in the NBA ever with 99 rating in all shooting categories.

I've been trying to get around this issue by mainly playing with the "My player" function so that I only have to worry about one person and their timing. That's also really lowering the learning curve since I don't have to call plays and can work on a lot of the (extremely complicated) controls in a very narrow set of environments. Of course my character a) really sucks since he's brand new and b) got drafted by the mother****ing Miami Heat, which is kind of horrible. Trying to figure out a way to get myself traded to the Jazz.
