When does the damn game start? Utah Jazz (13-12) at Memphis Grizzlies (14-13), 9:30 p.m. (ET)

Did you watch the game? If you did then you saw the play I am talking about. If I remember correctly, it was the 4th quarter, Mem is making a run with tough D. Al gets the ball down low. They immediately collapse 2 help defenders. Al waits for all three to get there and then trys to split them. How dumb do you have to be to not know somebody is wide open. My point is only a very selfish (i.e. black hole) player would try to split a triple team to get a shot off instead of rotating the ball to an open player for a layup elsewhere.

I don't disagree with what you said, Al had a great game against Gasol. I just wish he would take a course called basketball 101.

If Al is getting triple teamed, somebody else should be able to get the ^%$^% rebound.

That was one isolated moment he doesn't force it every time hence the 4 assists. He's a hired offensive gun, you should expect it once or twice a game. We can't expect any player to make the right decision every possession.

I agree. I want the Jazz to blow out the Hornets tomorrow night so they get as much rest as they possibly can for the rematch against OKC on Tuesday. They have to. The Hornets have the WORST record in the Western Conference. I have realized something. Gordon Hayward needs to be our #2 scoring option. If he is on, it takes a lot of pressure of Millsap. Millsap's ideal role on this team should be the #3 scorer, IMO. Gordon has been playing much better of late. One could say that he is returning to his late-season form from last year. If Mr. Hayward can become a consistent 15-20 ppg scorer, the Jazz will become a much, much better team. His perimeter scoring ability opens up things down low for Milly and Big Al. Mr. Jefferson was simply outstanding tonight. Not only did he have 21 points, but he also had 15 rebounds. The play, IMO, that was most impressive by Al tonight was the one in the 4th quarter when he passed up a jumper and instead passed it to Raja for a three late in the shot clock. Big Al played very unselfishly tonight. He even passed an ally-oop to Paul.

I was just about to post this. That pass form Al to Bell was without a doubt the play of the game. Al, who has made several buzzer-beating jumpers, passes up a semi-decent look to a wide open Raja, for the three. I practically jumped out of my seat upon seeing that.

Also: If someone would have told me that Al would have thrown an alley-opp to Millsap at the beginning of the season, I would have not believed it for a second.

Sounds like most watched it on ESPN, I watched the Root feed and was curious did they show Hayward getting fouled on all of his dunk attempts. [rant]His first was when he stole it from Gay and Gay hit him on the side/back of the head, the second showed him clearly getting whacked across the back of his for arms which made him miss and then the one they finally called was probably only called because of how the contact made him lose grip of the rim and take a bad fall.[/rant]

Was a fun game to watch for sure but had a question, does anybody know why didn't Sam Young get any time, I seem to remember him having some pretty good games against the Jazz.

I didn't see those. The networks have severely curtailed use of the instant replay, so as to give me less ammunition to point out how bad and unfair the refs are.

Tony Allen blocked his second dunk cleanly.

Chris Mullen thought it was a foul. I thought it was clean. He hit the ball first then got him on the wrist a tiny bit after he got the ball.

The Jazz replay seemed to show a little contact on the wrist/forearm area nothing horrible but as I'm sure you've seen from other teams/games majority of the time any contact on a fast break will get the call.
Guess nobody but the Grizz's coach knows why Sam Young didn't play, oh well no biggie was just curious.
