Where will Trey Burke End Up

agreed, his lack of apparent value is almost entirely related to the way he was handled ie the DNPCDs and the up and down nature of his role. in a different situation, his value wouldnt have plummeted nearly as much.

Jazz had been trying to trade him for 2 years. They got no takers. His value didn't just plummet at the end of last season. GM's know he's a low-percentage chucker.

This isn't correct go look at his percentage and per game from his first to years he the team(especially his rookie season) he does get guys involved. I think Synder got it in his head to be a scorer and not a true PG where his talents and skillset lays.
If that is your opinion then back it up with stats please

It really sucks to get rid of him for nothing, but I consider him mostly the fault of Tyrone Corbin. Hopefully for him he can make it work somewhere else.

This past season trey Burke posted career numbers shooting wise. I think quin was using him properly (scorer off the bench). The problem is that even at trey Burkes best shooting its still horrendous.

Wherever he ends up I wish him good luck. He has been mistreated lately by the Jazz organization.

Another player that will go without anything in exchange.

80 persent of this board was all starry-eyed over Burke. I got some slack because I wasn't a big fan of the trade. Talent is what gets it done in the NBA and Burke lacks the talent to be a good NBA player.

However, I am not going to bash the kid too much. I think he has worked hard and acted professional in what has to be a hard reality check. I still think he can be a backup if he gets on the right team.

Good post

Trade idea:

Utah trades Trey Burke
Utah receives Reggie Bullock + future second rounder

Detroit trades Reggie Bullock + future second rounder
Detroit receives Trey Burke

Mistreated? He's been given every oppotunuty to succeed, he didn't which saw him fall to the bench.

I liked the trade but I was also realistic in the Burke pick. He was always a chucker. People ran around on here pretending that he would suddenly become a pass first PG who would set players up and run the offense. He was never that guy. He will never be that guy. If I remember right, my best case scenario for him was 16 pts, 5 assists a night.

I had hoped his shooting would be better so when he took 15-20 shots a game they would be effective. That was his big downfall...and his size and defense.

I don't know what they'll get for him, but I'd be perfectly happy to see the Jazz trade him for somebody else's failed pick as long as they have athletic ability and upside.
