Where's Harpring?

Boone has been this way since the Hot Rod days, but I still prefer him to Harpring.

I kind of disagree on this point. During the Hot Rod days it was hard for Boone to get a word in at all because of Hot Rod having to describe everything for the radio listeners of the simulcast. I didn't even realize he had a personality until he worked alongside Bolerjack.

While that blog is funny, I disagree with some of you in that I actually like Harpring.

Unfortunately you can't please everyone, and with Jazzfanz sometimes you can't please anyone.

I don't think he cares though, he can handle it. He was a football player after all, not sure if any of you knew about that.
Harpring played football? Fascinating. Tell me more!

He's #10, the guy handing off the ball. Yea, that's QB he's playing. Marist had a 32-0 record with him and a Atlanta State Championship in 94.

Does that help?

Pretty sure Harpring has a schedule. He hasn't done every game yet that I'm aware of. Not sure what his schedule is but my guess is he's home (in ATL?) and works five days a week or something. The stupid Hawaii games were him and Boler in a locked room somewhere in SLC or ATL I'd guess watching it on television like us. They obviously weren't on the island.

My problem with Harping and Boler is they frequently forget there's a game going on, rambling on about Georgia Tech versus Kansas and often neglecting to notice a critical substitution. Stuff like, "Oh, hey, so-and-so just checked in (actually it was five minutes earlier). Why have a former player as a color analyst when he rarely gives a player's insight. Oh wait, why would I ever consider Harping as insightful? At least Boone occasionally gives a player's perspective.

I can't believe anyone cares. Harpring? Didn't notice he was even gone, because he sucks, his insight sucks, his opinion sucks. Karl Malone might as well run him over with his semi, Greg miller can put his barely working, surgically repaired knee caps in a museum of nobody cares.

Boone has been pretty cringeworthy the last couple years as he's gotten older just tripping over his words and offering little-to-no insight. Boler made a reference during the game last night about the Jazz, clearly setting Boone up to expand upon the point but good ole' Booner responded by just saying, "yes" leaving a good 5 seconds of awkward dead-air.

I like Harpring's insight and I actually think he and Boler do a good job together. I get a kick out of their back-and-forth occasional jabs.

It must be really discouraging to be a young professional broadcaster living in SLC and see Boone and Steve Brown employed to cover the Jazz.

Speaking of Brown, he is just the worst of all time. His interviews are all awful. I've been watching all the video content on Jazz.com since media day, and listening to press conf clips on 1280, and Brown has asked Burks the same questions at least 15 times. Brown's interview with Exum was also awful. What a clown.

Why do you listen to interviews at all? It's all standard PR from both sides at this point. Boogie is the only real interview remaining.
