Seriously,
I'd put it at 3...Favors, Kanter and Hayward.
For all his offensive struggles, Favors is a fantastic defender. I think he and Kanter complement each other very well. Hayward drives me nuts with his inconsistency, but he's incredibly versatile and gets to the line, even when he's struggling from outside. I'm less sold on Burks, but he could be the answer as a combo guard.

What I'm really hoping for is a different coach. Give the C4 a chance to play and show what they can do within a legitimate, NBA offensive and defensive system. And give them all 30 mins/per. Then we can really see what kind of players they are.

Get out of my brain!

I was thinking the same thing. I'm liking Burks so much lately he is creeping up on making 4 untouchable. I like them all, I like what they bring and unless you are trading them for LeBron or Durantula they better not be moved at all. Everyone else, get what you can for them because we need another starter and a bench. If they don't package draft picks to move up and get someone needed, I say they keep the picks and fill in the bench. I would hope we could keep Carroll and Evans, even have Carroll start at the 3 or something.

All Vets must go! (it seems Mo is under contract for another year so we have to keep him... lets call him BHC short for Black Hole Chucker)

They are all untouchable unless I can get a superstar right now...even then I would have to see who the superstar is.

There just isn't that many great players in the NBA right now.

Agree with these posts.

One thing to note... Burks has had a huge jump in his ability to run a team at the point, and will be interested to see if he continues to progress at the same rate next year.

Also I don't think inconsistency is a problem with Hayward. I think his biggest weakness is physical strength.

it would be hard to keep all 4.
thats why i put a 2 player limit on it

It's a problem for Foye though.

Hayward and Kanter.

Favors is next in line. Really depends on whether he learns that he needs to do more than keep in shape during the off season.

Wow. It is Obvious from the poll results that Kanter has wowed everyone this season. In November, Favors and Burks or Favors and Hayward would have been the choice getting the most attention. Kanter has grown a lot and the most in a short period of time of all 4. He's only 20 and seriously can ball!!

Build around Kanter/Favors. Hayward is a great player, but he's never going to be the 1st or 2nd option on a Championship-Caliber team. Burks is great as well.. but same story. They can be great 4/5th options though, and definitely have a place on this roster. I just see Kanter developing into a 20/12 guy, and Favors plays elite defense.

The only one I'd be upset about if we lost him or we traded him would be Kanter. I've said for a long time that he has the highest ceiling and will be the best player on the team in a few years.

I think you CAN keep all four right now. Hayward and Favors are up for extensions this summer. Neither is getting the max this summer. If you can get Favors for 4 years 10 per, and Hayward 4 years 12-13 per, then that means you can still sign TWO max players. Burks will NEVER be a max guy, so let's say he gets 10 per. That equals 35 million for three players, not including Kanter. Now, I believe that Kanter WILL be a max guy, so he gets 15 million. That means you now have four players at 50 million. That still leaves you 15 million to fill in the gaps. That is a dang good team.

The question now becomes, what is more valuable? A very, very good pg, or Hayward/Burks?

I don't know the answer to that. Probably depends on who your coach is.

That being said, I bet money that Favors is resigned for around 10, Hayward gets around 12, and Kanter gets the max next summer. I also bet anything that the Jazz try to move Burks for a superstar/really high draft pick.

Now, IF Favors gets resigned for 12+ a year, I completely change my tune on Favors. I would then try to trade him for a superstar. For a guy with no offensive game, 14+ is too much. He can be an elite defender, but he will hurt the Jazz overall at that cost.
