Infractions are frequently preceded by warnings, but not always. Some things are fract worthy completely on their own merit.
Yeah, so true - and I was wrong when I said "almost always" - - especially for things that are considered sexually explicit or obviously inappropriate, there isn't a warning.
Generally if there is something we can edit to make the post more acceptable, we will do that - - and sometimes the editing is done before we've agreed whether or not to issue an infraction.
What I was thinking of mostly was the violation for "circumventing the profanity filter" - - because many other message boards don't have a filter and posters are encouraged to use creative spelling to avoid a violation for posting profanity, we try to give a warning for that type of violation before giving an infraction.
So long as you remember to type **** when you want to say **** and don't try to use $ instead of S you'll be fine.
