So 3 preseason games in, I think the most impactful improvement will be Taylor Hendricks. I think he will establish himself as an NBA player and one that is highly valuable in this league. Offensively it looks like he's taken several steps forward in his understanding of the game. Defensively....honestly I think he's been pretty bad but I'm still counting on him being a positive defender in the future.

My vote right now through preseason is Brice, not counting Cody.

I've had moments during the offseason where I got really bullish on Keyonte. But, for some reason, I'm currently pretty low on him.
He was basically perfect in the first preseason game, but hasn't been great in the last two. I really think his main weakness is emotional resilience. He has to learn how to keep calm and confident even when things aren't going well.

He's a good pick. I'm going with TH because I think he has more potential salary/value wise. Going back to the conversation in the other thread, I think it's going to be hard for Brice to push past a MLE price point even if he's really great. He might need to be borderline all star level. I don't actually think TH needs to do anything too special to get there. He's just a much more valuable archetype. I think by this time next year, we'll be discussing whether or not to give TH $100M.

I think in Brice's best pre-season game so far he was like -11 in +/-. I continue to be a big doubter beyond what I have always said about him "hes an elite bucket getter but a total turnstile".

I continue to want to be wrong.

I don't see how Taylor expands his game without being able to dribble. I think this comes down to Brice being able to stay on the floor by playing some defense and making quicker decisions or Cody making some shots this year.

To some extent it doesn’t matter. TH can be $100M player without being able to dribble. Brice is going to be mega elite, all star level of player to touch that money. The odds are so heavily in TH’s favor in terms of becoming a desired player/asset.

I don't see a reason to fight the notion that Brice is a negative defender, but I'd say for his role he's given a much better return on offense for the cost of his defense than Keyonte has done so far.

Good news is that he has expanded his game by being able to dribble.
I have loved seeing him put the ball on the floor with confidence and make moves going at the hoop and in the paint to get buckets during these pre season games.
