What's new

Who are you??

I'm 24 years old. 6'3'' and around 210 lbs. I have black hair, rather white/brown skin color and blue eyes. I speak French, English, German, Swiss German, Turkish and some Arabian. I was born in Switzerland but I have Arabian origin. My dad has passed three years in Turkey because of his job and my girlfriend is from Turkey. That's also why I have a mancrush on Kanter but I was never a big fan of Okur. I have the Bachelor Degree of Law, I studied at the University of Zurich (where Kanter's dad did his Master/Doctor). I will travel and work a year and then I want to start my Master. I live near to Zurich.

I love Basketball and I started to love the Jazz back in 98 where I played NBA Live 99 with Stockton and Malone. I like literature and history. I like cooking and working out. I have an interest for different countries, religions, cultures and so on. I prefer to drink something in a bar or eating something with friends, chilling and watching movies instead of loud and superficial parties. I'm quite a lazy person.

From the look of his most recent posts, I don't believe this user is around anymore...I'm guessing he's posting on some OKC board now.

35-year old reformed academic. Now working for a small company, mainly because the workflow is easy and I have a lot of control over the direction of things. I read anywhere from 2 to 5 hours a day (right now, mainly fiction and geology lit). Play 3-finger guitar picking tunes. Living in Los Angeles. Recently moved in with girlfriend of 2.5 years (soon to be fiance). Go camping at least once a month, usually by myself out in eastern Cal or Nevada (where the geology gets me off). Stay in decent but not great shape: 6' to 6'1", 165ish. Long hair; long beard. Keep the sleep down to 6 hours, max.

Nice to meet you.

Great intro.

Holy **** on the kids! I assume they are all from the wife of 15?! I can't even imagine having six children. Mind boggling. I'm also happy to know that you have the means to take care of them. I've been meaning to PM you in regards to some posts you've made in certain threads. I'm sure I'll get to it soon enough.

Do you really think there's a benefit to limiting sleep to six hours max? And does that mean you regularly get four hours of sleep?

Are you aware of the link between lack of sleep and alzheimers?

I'm definitely a 7-8hr per day sleeper. No shame in my game.

I'm 28 years old. Born in Utah and then lived in Flagstaff, AZ, Oklahoma City, and then back to Utah. I served a mission in Boston, MA. Hence the name "beantown". I am married with 2 little girls. I have a degree in Environmental Science. I currently work for a Solar energy firm in Northern California.

I love golf and my favorite job in college was working at Glendwild Country Club in Park City where Jordan and Dwill play.

Been a Jazz fan my whole life.

Hey Beaner...

Does the SEF you work for get subsidies from the government? And what say you on the state of that industry currently and in the next 5 years or so?

I am avoiding the work I should be doing right now.

I'm 40, married with 3 kids. My oldest will be in high school next year; not sure how that happened. We live in Sandy, UT. I'm a freelance copywriter, so I write a lot of advertising, blog posts, articles, etc for businesses (which is incidentally what I should be doing now). I like to sing (classical & musical theater).

I've been a Jazz fan since I was a kid. For years I had a Stockton poster on my bedroom wall, surrounded by fake autographed pictures of all the other members of the team. It was a shrine, basically. My dad picked up those photos for me one day from Hot Rod Hundley's restaurant. Anyone remember that? I won tickets on the radio to All-Star Saturday Night when it was held at the Delta Center. I think Blue Edwards was in the dunk contest that year?? Still have a couple souvenirs from that night.

We have 2 dogs: a border collie/lab mix and an Australian shepherd mix. We also raise ducks (yep, ducks). We have 5 grown ones now and just got 4 ducklings last week. If we needed further confirmation that we're nuts, I think that was it.

Oh, and my 11-year-old son plays a mean banjo.
Lol at raising ducks.

Your dogs are cool mixes. I have healer/aussie cattle dog mix. (I think)

Nana is a 1 1/2 year old Lab-Rottweiler mix. She looks like a rot but has the temperament of a lab around the kids.

I think rotts and labs have the same temperament

it's not a decision based on long-term health. I've found that I have plenty of energy after 6 good hours, and that I'm far less prone to fits of hyperactivity if I get up early, before anybody can bother me, and focus on reading or writing for a little while. The early morning is the only time I can pull that off.

I make up for the link to Alzheimer's by annually experimenting with hallucinogens. ;)

Hi all,

I'm a normal sized dude, somewhere between 0-100 in age. I have a family with some people in it. I used to live in a place for a while and now I live here(here) which is where I may or may not have been born. There's a school that I used to go to, then I stopped and went to another school where I graduated. I've been known to kick a ball from time to time and also bounce one. I can throw too. I'm better at kicking tho. I've made money through employment before, and I still do, although, the form of employment now is different than before. I'm an interesting character. I know a couple of minorities, they're my friends. I once did a risky thing or had something unfortunate occur. I learned a lot and am totally good now. I'm fluent in Korean.
As I read this bio I started out thinking, "Holy ****, it's like we've led parallel lives." And then I started thinking, "This can't be Dan's bio, it's mine. Who does he think he is stealing my biography?" And then my last thought was, "WTF, I don't speak any Korean at all? Why in the hell did he put that in there?"

I have the best minority friends you guys.
