Who are your 'untouchables" with this coming off-season?

No one is untouchable, but it would take an awful lot for the Jazz to give up Lauri or Keyonte, especially Keyonte when it's not yet clear what his ceiling actually is.

good list, other than i'd put Clarkson in the sell their house list, and Sexton i think could be had for a reasonable offer.

Prolly stuck with the two JC’s - that’s cool.
Time to move on from Lauri get a couple more firsts.

As of today, our projected starting lineup for next year looks like:

Keyonte
Sexton
Lauri
Hendricks
Collins

Unless Keyonte and Hendricks have huge 2nd year improvements, then my guess is that would be a 30 win team. I think the first question for the front office will be what options are available to significantly improve our starting lineup. I think that lineup needs a guard that can defend, a wing/big who can defend and create for others at least a little.

I just think it’s depressing that we probably have 5 more years before we are hopefully in the discussion for a deepish run In The playoffs. Gonna be a long haul

There is no reason to think that way. Teams are able to ramp up extremely fast if they have a couple stars. We may have 2 in Key and Lauri plus a damn good dude in Sexton. If that is the case then it is all about putting strong complimentary pieces around them and that is easy with all our draft assets and cap space.

If the Jazz trade for doncic, do they say Lauri is untouchable? No, he’s in the trade.

It’s all a matter of relative value.

I think Kessler needs to replace John with the starters. Not sure if Taylor is a starter but it would make sense if he does well the last 15 games... even if he was only like a 20-25 minute guy as a starter. I could see us adding like a decent wing like Caleb Martin in FA and slotting him into the starting lineup somewhere.

Its just so choppy. Need to start building a team.

The best chance at having a winning team next year is Kessler coming in to his 3rd year as a starting quality center. I think/hope that can happen, but I'm not sure if that's something the FO will bet on/ should bet on. With Kessler in the starting lineup then you could maybe get away with a Sexton/Keyonte back court and then the focus is on a starting quality wing.
