Who do you HOPE the Jazz draft today?

The New York Knicks are moving up in Wednesday night's NBA draft, trading the Nos. 27 and 38 picks to the Utah Jazz to acquire the 23rd pick, sources told ESPN.

That 23rd pick wasn't really our savior. In fact there really isn't anyone in this rookie class that is going to "move the needle" much for anyone this year.

Yeah, it’s not a home run type of move, but it is definitely a single. For a team with limited draft assets, picking up another asset is a smart move. Either pick can be used in a second trade, or used to add affordable depth to the roster.

Just please no Tre Jones (tre’s have not worked out well for us) and no Nico Mannions... name the last unathletic, short, alligator armed, redhead that was good in the nba? I would pink slip DLJZ on the spot for that pick.

If we're going down that road, I'd much prefer Malachi Flynn.

We don't need to get a future all star or even starter out of this draft. We just need some guys who can fill our bench instantly for about 15minutes every night so we don't have to run a six man rotation while playing the likes of Royce 35minutes

That's kind of my point. We're staying stagnant this year. Quin wouldn't even play our rookies in garbage time last year and stuck with garbage like Niang and Bradley. Most likely it will be the same this year unless we make a move but I just don't see it happening. I hope I'm wrong but nothing leads me to believe this team can and will do anything substantial.

Completely agree! Dok is a beast. He is a rim runner, shot blocker, rebounder that can spell Rudy. This is a kid that would be a top 10 pick if the NBA still focused on traditional 5s. His athleticism is freakish. 6’11, 9’1 standing reach, 41 inch vertical, 260 lbs, 7’7 wingspan.

If Udoka is on the board at 38, I think he will be in the mix for the Jazz. I think the net is a wide one at 27. There are a number of ways that pick can go

Yeah, which is too bad we couldn’t have included him in this Knicks trade. I know they don’t want to give up cap space, but they certainly have enough of it to have absorbed the contract.

My ideal draft would be Oturu at 27, Stanley at 38 and trade into the late 40s/early 50s and take Udoka.

Would rather go the other direction in the draft order given that we still are in our version of a win now team.
