We get Kemba (12M), Batum (24M and two years left after this season), Marvin (15.06M and one year left after this season), Devonte' Graham (0.988M) and Dwayne Bacon (1.378M) which is ~53.3M and a 1st incoming for

Favors (16.9M), Rubio (14.975M), Exum (9.6M), Sefalosha (5.25M) and Udoh (3.36M) for 50.05M.

By doing this, we'd rid Charlotte of the awful Batum contract and a Marvin PO for next year that he'll certainly pick up and isn't very good either. This would free up ~34M for Charlotte next year. It gives them Exum, and first rights to Favors and Rubio, all of whom they may want to keep, for a guy in Kemba who may be walking anyway. All that said, I think we'd have to throw in a 1st too. My gut tells me two 1sts...which I'd do.

This gives us Kemba and significantly improves our potential. The monumental risk is of course that Kemba could just walk on us, on top of being stuck with those two crap contracts.

But...

Kemba-Neto-Graham
Mitchell-Korver-Allen-Bacon
Ingles-Batum-O'Neale
Crowder-Marvin-Niang
Gobert-Bradley

So, which team says no to this?

**** it. Take a monumental risk, Dennis! If we have to give up two 1sts, do it!!! That core could definitely win a ring in the next few years and this is the type of calculated risk we may have to take to get the ring we crave.

So you think Hornets would trade you a superstar, a better then average wing, quality backup, plus a youngster They are high on. Why don't ask for first round picks too. All that for 2 serviceable starters, an injured defensive player a bust player and a g league guy? Come on the again. This isn't reasonable trade. Hornets would laugh at you. Well mj would the guy who broke jazz hearts Twice

Charlotte would laugh at the offer... why they giving a first and the best player... to save some money? Nah dawg. We'd have to give the pick and keep Exum (my guess is he doesn't have positive value). Probably have to sub Marvin for Bismack... then you are getting closer. I'm not sure we do it at that point either... once you pay Kemba you are adding like $70M in payroll for next year... think we'd be firmly in the tax and have a crunch coming in a couple years.

Kemba will stay and get the 5 year super deal. They will move a pick and stuff to clear some salary at some point but it will be pretty easy to do.

Jazz do that in a heartbeat that isn't even a question. You absolutely roll the dice on re-signing Kemba long term and you get some quality rotational pieces in Batum/Williams/Bacon and a 1st?

Hornets hang up immediately they're giving up way too much for a bunch of average players who don't make them better than Kemba does by himself.

Throw in the rights to Tomic to balance the equation.
