Who Gets Invited to Camp?

I was browsing through the Vegas stats and noticed "our" 2nd round pick is averaging 7.3 ppg for Houston and that Diamond Stone is averaging 15 ppg in Vegas 0n 60% shooting. I think that warrants an invitation to camp and then a Jerry Sloan TShirt when he gets cut before the season.

Scoring twice as much. Does that make Diamond Stone the $3M man?

Will be interesting to see if Martin gets an invite. Finished fairly slow after a solid start, but i feel like he's the type that could look better on varsity- spotting up and being a versatile defender.

I admittedly watched very few summer league games. Mainly just highlights. But from what I saw I was really intrigued by Wilder.

Stanton Kidd has a sweet 3 point shot, and smart all around player. Definitely Jazz DNA. We have a good stock pile of guys that look like good Jazz system players.

We are building something epic.

Kelan Martin would really benefit from a year working out and working with NBA coaches. He needs to make a real transition from playing as a power player in college to a versatile wing in the pros. He has the skills and body to do it. If I were the Jazz, I'd take him on as a 2-way contract and get him in the system.

Naz, Stone, Niang, Kidd, Lyles, maybe Martin.
Lyles and Kidd as our 2-ways? If so, that probably means Naz will go to Europe or try to get a 2-way with someone else.

Would anyone be averse to bringing Cooley to camp?
Why?

Training camp rosters are 20 players, correct? So with Niang's signing, Jazz get 5 players in addition to their now 15 guaranteed guys. You figure two of those will be players they'll try to (or will have) signed to 2-way contracts. That leaves 3. And those three should be players the Jazz want to designate as affiliate players. The time has passed for a player like Cooley to be a camp invite. He brings nothing; need players who may have upside to develop.
