I really liked Butler last year in pre-season. I thought he might be our PG of the future. Oh well... only comes to show how useless pre-season is.

Meh. Butler hasn't done anything since last pre-season. Feels like he has progressively got worse. He has a really weird personality. Like he half cares. I could see it rubbing a coach/orginization the wrong way.

And to think, we could’ve drafted Herb…

What a miss.

What a ****ing miss.

No matter how the NBA adjusts its system, nothing could fix the Jazz absolutely blowing it with Conley, Dok, and Butler. That would ruin the championship attempt of any franchise in any system.

That’s what makes me so sad about this era to me. While the others felt “played out”, this one felt like the franchise just made several god awful head scratching moves that just ruined the Gobert-Mitchell era. Had the no brainer moves been made, this franchise might have a championship banner or two right now with several promising young players like Bane and Jones.

I can't but feel that getting doused in cold water all last year really hurt him. I think he came in an NBA talent but he looks a little broken now.

I also can't help but wonder how differently last year would have gone if Conley got regular doses of rest such that he didn't come into the postseason worn out.

Which was really weird since the team at least said that they wanted to prioritize keeping its vets fresh yet we didn’t attempt at all to do that last year with Conley. Not that it probably would’ve made much of a difference in terms of playoff success in the end…

More than anything, I wondered why more people weren't high on Dosunmu which made me question my own feelings about him (my assessment essentially being, "uhh... yo; a 6" 5' PG that has the basics pretty well sorted and plays really good defense... why is he projected at the end of the 1st round? Isn't this EXACTLY what we need? I don't know enough, so I assume others' assessments are more on-point than mine, but he looks like a no-brainer top-20 pick to me.")

It might not have, since the locker room was shattered and the main culprit was every tow-headed child's favorite player in the world.

But considering that Luka missed so much time... maybe they could've at least advanced to the 2nd round? But then again; what would the point be? Would that just mean that the Jazz run back that wreaking sack of **** again?
