I was just thinking we are not in that bad of shape (depending on the draft by KOC the moron). But, we have a lot of new young assets moving forward and all we did was yes lose an all-star. We potentially were going to lose Dwill anyway and even NJ still could lose Dwill when his contract is over.

Doesn't the answer to this question entirely depend on Deron's contract situation?

It could but if you see having a team with one or two stars like a LAL, BOS, or MIA. Verses a team that develops a bunch of very talented young players like a ATL, OKC, and POR. I think when you strip down teams to get superstars that is a risky. I will enjoy watching our young players grow up I can see them in two to three years being considered like a OKC. I'm not a fan of KOC though but we have potential to have a great team.

Even if Deron stayed in New Jersey it's a pretty nice deal for the Jazz. Even if he stays in Jersey, that doesn't mean he would've stayed in Utah.

But I again cite that you don't need a stud PG to win in this league. You need a talented frontline.

What the Jazz are missing is a player with moxy (someone you can depend on, a closer). - which Deron certainly had, in addition to his pouting.

Kemba Walker has moxy, but I don't want a PG with moxy. It has to be at a different position. Maybe Dwill2, though I'm full of doubts. Maybe in the 2012 draft. There's a chance Barnes has it, but maybe not.

The Jazz by far for me. We have legit assets. Jefferson, Millsap, Favors, Hayward, Harris, and a boatload of picks.

Yes, the Nets have Williams and Lopez but I see absolutely no way Williams re-signs there when his contract's up. He seems like a salty bitch who gets tired of losing quite quickly and after next season, I see him bouncing out of there.

So KOC Begone starts a thread asking about who's better off moving forward, and then calls O'Connor "KOC the moron" only to turn around and say Utah is better off because of all the "new, young assets" they have moving forward.

Hmmmm, I wonder where and the hell all those assets came from? Could it be the very same guy you're trashing?

Fail.

Too early to tell, but I don't think there's anything that will equal what Deron and Lopez are going to be together. If Deron stays the Nets have the better situation. If we still had Sloan or an identity of any kind it might be a different story but for the the Jazz are a faceless mess.

Purely from a basketball perspective, I get excited at the idea of Lopez and Howard playing on the same team. Two bigs that can defend the pick and roll and complement each other well in reciprocal ways on different sides of the court. But it's doubtful such a thing would happen.

I guess this is taking contradiction to an artform. Favors is looking pretty good, got one starter already and have a chance to get two more looks to be Jazz +1

If you like KOC that is fine. I think that Jazz have a great future going forward due to the players not the GM.

If they want a big three they should have saved their money with Outlaw. Horrible signing. You can criticize KOC, but rarely makes really bad signings when you consider Miller pushed for AK and Memo was not injured before his contract extension.

You mean the awesome players acquired by the sucky GM, right? That's some highly evolved thinking. You are my new favorite poster.

In the short-term New Jersey will be. With D Will and Lopez as the core they can bring in other players, maybe even another star or near-star, and they can become very good very quickly. We will have in essence 5 or 6 rookies. That does not bode well for at least 3 or 4 years. However at that point we will overtake them, as either D Will's hand will fall off, or he is going to opt out to go play in Miami along with Kobe, Amare, Griffin, and Roy.

Nets have no good draft pick in a weak draft and there aren't any good free agents this year. Nets will be as bad next year as they were this year. What incentive is there for Williams to stay?

So let me get this straight: Your whole identity is wrapped around the idea that KOC is a lousy GM and you've just created a thread that proves he's actually doing good work? No wonder there's a little red dot below your name.

The incentive is he'll go into free agency as they try to lock down a major guy. I doubt the Nets pull off a Howard type addition, but Deron and Howard is a pretty fantastic nucleus. My guess is he bolts like you said assuming the new CBA doesn't have the alleged franchise tag. From a fan standpoint, I want to see Deron paired up with Blake. Those two together would be dominant.
