Expect Minnesota to go hard for George Hill

Exactly. Why would we take a Rubio who can't shoot and is an average defender to allow Minny the ability to add Hill who can shoot and defend? The "new" Timberwolves have a ton of potential, but nobody to really spread the floor. If we give them the ability to add an accomplished PG who can shoot, that's just dumb.

I truly think Rickyyyy is our best option. Not as versatile of a defender, but a better on-ball defender compared to Hill. Also the perfect mentor for Exum.

Hayward would LOVE playing with him. Think of the easy baskets he gets with Rubio, especially in transition (where we struggled).

Beverly makes the most sense to me considering his contract and his work ethic and the fact that we have a point guard and a combo guard coming on board via the draft.

Rudy just started following Beverley on Twitter. That is our latest big news.

Our latest big news is Dennis Lindsey's comments after last night's draft on Exum. Said Exum has responded in a huge way this summer to the 'truth' Quin shared with him in the exit interview and that the player you're going to see next year is one that's made explosive growth. Dennis rarely, if ever, gives false praise - he was considerably more muted last year on Exum.

My hunch as to what's going on:
--The Jazz think they've got very good odds to re-sign Hayward.
--The growth they've seen from Exum this summer has convinced them that he's the player they've always thought he is, but he'll likely need another year before he completely takes over the reins.
--Paying George Hill an excessive amount of money over the next four years would risk their ability to retain Exum and Hood.
--They need a cheaper PG who will be able to provide starter minutes for at least half, if not all of next year, but will also be willing to take a back seat after that as Exum rises above them in talent.
--Donovan Mitchell is someone who can back-up Ingles at the 2, play spot PG minutes, and compete with Exum to make them both better.
--Burks is on his way out at the trade deadline, assuming rehabbed value.

Ricky is by far the most creative player on that list. Boris and Ingles helped develop our creative play last year, but we need more help in that area, IMO.

I can't vote because I just don't know yet.

The best player is Bledsoe, but we lose assets getting him.

Hill is probably the 2nd best but what is his cost?

If we could add Beverley and Lou Williams for peanuts because Houston thinks they can get every elite level free agent, then I like that over signing Hill to $18 per year. Lou gives us a proven weapon off the bench on an expiring contract. Beverley gives us attitude, defense and yet another pesky player to throw at GS, Houston, SA, etc.

I don't think Rubio is a good option. By taking him from Minnesota, we would be taking him FOR Minnesota.
