I think Pat Bev is the guy but that only is the case for me if DL can pull off a trade for a playmaker at a different position. I wouldn't be happy with just the current roster+Bev if I'm Hayward. If the team is sure Hayward is coming back then I might actually go this route, and see if I can rehab Favors/Burks value with a healthy half season.

I wanna say Patrick Beverly because I think his defense and intensity (along with his amazing contract) would take this team to a new level. However, I worry about our shooting with him on the floor.

I love Rubio's facilitator factor, but again, where does our shooting come from?

DL's next moves are going to be interesting because shooting is starting to straight-up scare the hell outta me. We really need to move in the direction of a stretch 4 who can shoot because if your main rotation guards are Beverly, Exum and Mitchell, that's not a lot of perimeter shots going in the hoop.

Beverly is a 40 and 38% 3 point shooter the last two seasons. He would be fine here unless he just drops off. I actually think his game fits really well. The only thing is he isn't as good of a shot creator as Hill, which would put more pressure on the other guys on the perimeter to do that.

I do think he can create a little bit, but agree he's not as good as Hill.

I think it might be part of the reason he is rumored to want out... sick of watching Harden dribble.

There's no rehabbing Favors value as far as the jazz are concerned. If he comes out and torches the league for 20 games and puts to bed all injury concerns, he's still only 60 games from UFA. JFCers need to ****ing realize this and stop talking nonsense.

Obvious to me after we drafted two point guards and no power forward, Hill's money will be used on a free agent power forward.

Hopefully Gallinari, we also are down a 4 on our depth chart after Lyles was traded to Denver helping insure Galli is on the market.

Would have to be a sign and trade... we don't have cap space.

I think he is moved... and probably in the next two weeks.

I think it's likely he is moved soon, but I could see a situation where they are not getting fair offers and the calculus changes to him being more valuable as a trade piece at the deadline. That all depends on whether or not they really believe he can get healthy again. As of right now with no other moves he is the starting 4.

There's a lot of sense to doing so. None of which, btw, need to be read as a commentary on the quality of player Derrick is (I know you know this... I'm writing to all). The most important reason is continuity throughout the 2017-18 season and beyond. There's virtually no chance we are paying to bring him back after next year, and rather than recouping value mid-season (which won't be any higher than it is now, IMO, and will definitely disrupt team play), might has well grab some value now.

I feel like bumping my worry thread.

So how about this...

With Mitchell on board I think Exum is a bit expendable. We could move him now if we felt it got us some value. With that said...

Exum, Favs, Burks, and OKC pick for Bledsoe and Dudley. Dudley plays small ball 4 with starters. Bled brings more creating and can be a good defender when engaged and healthy. Two birds... one stone?

I am not sure Phoenix is going full rebuild based on the rumors, but this would start them down the road.
