If Hayward is here or if he is gone he doesn't fit either way. It sucks, but hopefully he finds a good situation and he will want to do it now to make sure he gets paid.

Also it sounds like we are still committed to keeping Burks and Exum and rehabbing their value. I think it is somewhat wise on both of them. We'd have to give up an asset to trade Burks and he could change that.

I still wouldn't be surprised if we had to dump Burks to make room in the right trade. But, if not, then yeah let's see what he can do. My expectations are low as ****.
 
I ignored salary when I voted. All things being equal I'd like to have Hill back. But obviously things aren't equal. I don't want the Jazz to pay Hill too much. Actually I wouldn't mind if they paid him a lot for one more year but not long term.

That is unrealistic.
 
Man I just couldn't trade Exum without knowing what the hell Hayward is doing.

If Hayward leaves then you have a bigger opportunity for AB and Exum to get a lot of time and maybe get right. I'm encouraged by Exum's offseason and if Hayward leaves I need to talk myself into him being a superstar.

Any deal we make for a PG needs to be around the fringes... so if Rubio or Bev costs the OKC pick then sure... if not I'm hoping I can get Hill and Hayward.

I only think bledsoe is available if they get a PGOTF.
 
As for Rubio, what are you willing to trade to save 5.5 million a year for 2 years? That money likely means very little in the big picture. We should still be able to avoid the tax for one more year. After that, it doesn't affect anything except how much tax the trust pays.

I'm still on the Hill bandwagon. I'd rather spend the money than trade assets for a player who can't shoot.
Beverly would be 2nd on my list.

In a one year bubble I agree... I think the issue is there is no way Hill can get resolved prior to Hayward signing. I think we have already moved on personally.
 
Until the Hayward situation is resolved one way or another, it is George Hill by a light-year.

If Hayward is out, Hill becomes last option because the Jazz should rebuild.
