And my gut tells me he will improve beyond that. The numbers difference could be staggering year over year.

I vote Gobert. I know we already think highly of him, but I think he'll solidify his place as one of the greatest players in the league this year. The entire NBA will take notice and acknowledge his greatness.

It will be pretty hard for him to improve defensively since he already ranked as one of the top defenders in the NBA.

His improvement will have to come from the offensive end. From what I've seen from him France, I wouldn't expect any big difference. That could be because France doesn't want him doing anything out of his already proven skill set, but I would expect Rudy's improvement to be much more marginal this year.
 
I'm voting Hood as I think he will explode like Gobert did in his second year. I expect them all to improve but it'll go Hood than Burks than Gobert/Favors than Burke/Hayward.

If we're voting on the basis of the entire portion of last season, then definitely Hood. He was tentative and inconsistent before he got hurt. But the last two months were terrific. SO if he just plays like he did the latter part of the year, is that considered improvement?

I'm hoping Burke will be in the discussion simply because he can't get much worse. Can he?

And as much as I love Rudy, he hasn't shown much offense in the FIBA games. TBH, I think gaining strength was more important. Just hanging around the rim should net him 12/15/3.

In March he was in the starting lineup 20 times and Hood scored over 17 points 9 times:

Those stats show his ability and potential. And he makes everything look so easy.
 
I wonder who the last Jazz rookie was to put up numbers like that over one month?

He can become one of the greatest defensive players ever this year. That's a pretty big step up from where everyone except jazzfanz sees him/

/the world.
