It will be pretty hard for him to improve defensively since he already ranked as one of the top defenders in the NBA.

His improvement will have to come from the offensive end. From what I've seen from him France, I wouldn't expect any big difference. That could be because France doesn't want him doing anything out of his already proven skill set, but I would expect Rudy's improvement to be much more marginal this year.

He can become one of the greatest defensive players ever this year. That's a pretty big step up from where everyone except jazzfanz sees him/

/the world.

Hood's a very good bet on this poll because as noted by One Love and others, his 2015 end-of-season show he can fill it up, and that impact did not register in his overall stats.
.

It is Burks that i'm most interested in seeing this year show improvement. While it will not be the "most" because he has already showed some incredible moves and finishes, it could be the most impactful (just like DL has implied with Burks being the 'free agent acquisition'). If Burks can combine that finishing skill with playing within the offense, he would be the biggest impact.

Burks just got cleared for 5 on 5 like two weeks ago. I just find it hard to believe that he won't have a good amount of rust since he really wasn't able to fully work on his game for about 9 months.

Let's hope he spent time just shooting since he couldn't go with full contact. But yes, he will have some rust.

The major impact will be that he's simply not Millsap, Johnson, Ingles or the host of others the Jazz were forced to play major minutes because he and Hood were hurt. A rotation of Hayward, Burks and Hood is pretty exciting to me.

Yeah, but Burks is worse than all of those guys on defense.

Hayward because of the elite ball handling skills he displayed in that off season workout. I'm thinking he'll show off his new found set of finesse skills this year, and we'll be even more awed.

I don't get the Hood voting. We already saw a damn good player last year over the last two months. If he reenacts that for an entire year, that doesn't mean he's improved It means he's exactly what we've already seen and quite frankly, for me, it's what I expect.

Burke is the one with the greatest opportunity and also the most room to improve. If he doesn't take a huge leap forward he's probably out of the league.

I voted Hood, he showed signs of having a very mature mindset on the court and looks like the kind of guy that works hard to improve. I expect very good things from him next season.

I agree that he has to show up this year as he has the most to prove and the biggest room to grow. Make or break time. Please blow up Burke, please.

I'm with CL on Hood. He's shown us what he's capable of, if he does that is it really improvement? I guess one could argue sustained consistency is improvement. Anyways, he's just going to get more opportunity. More opportunity does not equal improvement.

I'm gonna go with Burke. I think the coaching staff is really going to stress his strengths, which is running the offense and shooting off passes rather than trying to create his own shot. I'm hopeful and optimistic he can do that.

Probably have to eliminate Gobert based on the same argument. And we've seen what Burks can do so he's out. The only one left would be Burke since he had such a crappy year.

How awesome would it be if favors was the mip?

My bet is that we see perceived improvement from home, Burks and Burke. Robert and favors should see a jump just from getting used to playing together as well.

Hayward might be at his ceiling, which is a pretty awesome player in his own right, but there is a small chance he takes another step forward.

Exum will return next year and shock everyone coming off his injury. Then we will have five borderline all stars and a sixth man of the year in Burks or hood. Championship baby!
