If we land Jrue I think its Sexton, THT, Ochai and 2 firsts. Sexton routed to a third team like Indiana for an expiring contract and some seconds maybe.
Jrue will not be cheap. Will require a starter on a rookie deal like Ochai.Damn, that’s a little pricey. Also, Ochai’s #1 hater doing nasty work.
It just seems to be a bit too mismatched for where we are. If we were a bit farther along, we could justify paying that. If it was an all-in move, it makes sense. We're not in striking distance of being all-in.Jrue will not be cheap. Will require a starter on a rookie deal like Ochai.
It's not. I just wanted a vibe of if people wanted a young guy with potential or an older vet who is already there. It's a hypothetical two choice questionBut it is very much an option.
It is an option... irl... which is what I was saying. It's not. I just wanted a vibe of if people wanted a young guy with potential or an older vet who is already there. It's a hypothetical two choice question
I get that... but I have also been confused about where we are... and how we get where we need to go. Jrue would be either the move before the move... or he would be the intermediate move that we could hopefully get some value from if we need to move off of him.It just seems to be a bit too mismatched for where we are. If we were a bit farther along, we could justify paying that. If it was an all-in move, it makes sense. We're not in striking distance of being all-in.
If Lauri takes the next step and is Him this season it's a huge disservice to him if we only have this current roster around him.Jrue might be the best point of attack guy... if you add him to Walker and Lauri... the defense might be like top 4-5. If the contract stuff looks like it will line up I think the high cost now might look just fine... if we did have a follow up move in the next 6-12 months or if Key/Taylor/Brice glow up... look out.
