What's new

Who would you rather have?

That's a different stat but still another one he of near the top at. Just another stat that shows he played very well. Watching his defense in harden is enough for me to give him 4 years.
You are talking about simple rating or Roland rating where he is second. If you look at second column it says net rating on and of the court - Rudy has the best at 9.0, Mitchell 6.9, Neto, 6.4, Crowder 6.1, O'Neale 5.7 and Exum 2.4.

Pretty sure it's meant to read: "...two year deal, max." As in, no more than two years, not a max $ contract.
ok, that makes sense if he has that kind of belief in himself. If he does not, makes more sense to get longer and more secure deal with less money per year. Another blown knee or other major injury and his career may be over. Better get paid.

I'm talking about net rating of offensive rating and defensive rating. NBA.com is the only place with it or at least accurate.

But there are plenty of advanced stats like you point out that show he did pretty well.

These stats are from NBA.com and are of qualified players only for the regular season

Exum lead our team in Assists per 100 possessions(with less TOVs than Rubio).

Exum was our 2nd leading scorer per 100 possessions just behind Mitchell.

Exum had our highest offensive rating of 109.3

Exum had the 4th highest defensive rating of 98.9 just behind Gobert who was 97.7

Exum had our highest net rating of 10.4

Exum had our 2nd highest Ast/TO rating just behind Ingles

Exum played at the fatest pace of anyone on our team

I think Exum showed plenty in his minutes this season to prove his upside and potential.

You asked for thoughts and my thoughts are you're an idiot.

How does this move the needle in ANY way? Please explain... or you just making threads because you need the attention? Theres already half a dozen threads discussing offseason moves and you wanna start one discussing Fred mf Vanvleet... gtfoh.

Wow, you're an angry person. I bet people love you in real life. Getting called "an idiot" for the possibility of signing Fred makes it seem you have a great character in real life sir. It's the off season, get over it. Don't forget to take your meds before you post next time ;)

No sane GM would ever sign him for that.

That post was so stupid, I'll have to have an MRI to check for brain tumors.

Imagine someone giving Exum the max. Holy ****. Some people...

Yep. Seemed pretty obvious. This is not rocket surgery. If you're going to max someone (which is not even a remote consideration for Exum) it wouldn't be a two year deal. Has anyone ever done that?

Mitchell is a better PG than Exum and it's not close.

I wasn't listing them as who is better; I was listing them in terms of depth chart. If Rubio was hurt, Exum would be listed as the starting PG and Mitchell the starting SG. In that scenario, Mitchell would be facilitating offense more than Exum. If Exum and Rubio were both out, Mitchell would start at PG just like Game 5.

I love how Exum and Mitchell fit together for the long term. The better Mitchell gets, the more we need the ball in his hands. Exum is the type of PG who is there for defense first and penetration when given space Mitchell provides.

Nice list. Definitely a lot of positives for Exum this season. Unfortunately he still had a really hard time gaining Quin's trust and staying on the floor when the games got tight/important in the playoffs. Most reputable sources that I've seen think the Jazz try to sign him to a longer deal (3 or 4 if he'll agree) for a round 8-12 million. I guess we'll see if the site GM's here are correct who keep ridiculously wanting 1 or 2 year deals for an asset like Exum. My only hesitation with signing Exum at all is that it doesn't seem that he has the trust of the coaching staff and I'm not sure they are willing to let him learn on the job next year like he would need to in order to make this next contract a bargain (e.g. he becomes a high level player who plays big minutes). I'm still pretty firmly in the commit fully, or let him walk/trade him camp.

Watch him a lot living here in Jurassic park. He is slightly under sized, but makes up for it by playing hard. He is a bulldog and is very fast and smart. Much better than Exum at the moment.

Players looking to take advantage of escalating cap have done that. LBJ signed a 2+1 (player option) max, for example. I don't think it is very common

Is this a thing?

"I'm going to interpret this post's meaning to be as stupid as possible, then lash out at the stupidity, then make myself look like a complete idiot"

Has Jazzfanz become Twitterized?
