I wouldn't get too caught up in PKM's figuring. Using his method you are a worse poster than carolina jazz and ONE LOVE is a better poster than 99% of people on the site.

George has got all that extra athleticism doe. They seem about even to me. Both are better than the other on opposite sides of the ball. I think George's individual ability tends to be a bit overstated due to his team's success, and Hayward's a bit underrated due to the team's lack of success - but I'm pretty fricking biased so idk.

Comparisons to Hayward aside, I always thought George was overhyped. Based on Indiana's success and George's admittedly good play, he suddenly became the next up and coming superstar, and the press being the press with its uncontrollable propensity for group think, it became a self-perpetuating hype machine and, viola, the George hype became an irresistible force with the momentum of a freight train that no one questioned, let alone tried to slow down.

Don't get me wrong, he's good, very good, but he's NOT the next superstar, and, I'd be willing to bet, Indiana's window of opportunity will soon be slammed shut, with or without George.
 
How do their 4th quarter or "clutch" stats compare? I'm not a huge stats guy, but I know there are a few of you on here. That's one thing that I think truly makes an all star, the guys that take over in the end. I've seen both do it on occasion, but i'm curious how they compare.

Even last year of Hayward was better than Paul George in clutch.

Less than 5 points, 5 minutes

Paul George 2013-2014: %31.6 FG, %31.8 3PT FG, 0.4 assists, 2.1 Points in 2.8 minutes

Gordon Hayward 2013-2014: %45.8 FG, %37.5 3PT FG, 0.3 assists, 1.2 Points in 2.2 minutes

Gordon Hayward 2014-2015: %%38.1 FG, %28.6 3PT FG, 0.0 assists, 1.5 Points in 2.0 minutes

Clearly Hay is more efficient but from what I understand from stats that George was asked to handle the ball more in clutch. It could be why he has such low percentages and Indiana's offensive system kinda sucks. I don't think the difference is that clear as I said before I edited.
