That is why I said it is happening and not happened. Gobert is slowly becoming the leader. Just watch this season...

It's OK Cy, you should be used to being wrong.

But you're speculating. Up until end of last season, Hayward was the leader. Who is to say Gobert will become the leader next season? What if it takes him 2 seasons? I don't know. But the question was about the leader "right now". And thus Cy is right.

And I am saying that we are watching it become Gobert's team. I do not think Hayward or Favors ( I am extremely high on both) have the alpha personality to be the leader.

So I don't think you or Cy is right.

No, I'm right.

I really don't know what leadership Rudy has shown other than having a lot of showmanship and flair on defense.

Is he the guy in the huddle telling everyone what to run on the last play of offense to win the game? Is he the calming force on the team in the 4th quarter? I don't really know because I'm not on the floor and in the locker room.

It just seems like you are mistaking Rudy's outgoing and and charismatic on-court demeanor as leadership.

Like, if the Jazz were Ninja Turtles, Hayward would be Leonardo. The quiet and confident leader who the group looks to in the hardest moments.

Quin Snyder = Master Splinter

Rudy Gobert = Raphael

Joe Ingles = Michael Angelo

Derrick Favors = Donatello

Sorry, haven't read all the posts. I don't see Gobert being THE team leader, like, ever. I see him as someone to look up to though. Ha.
It's Hayward's team.

There are no real alpha males on this team... so I agree it's Snyder.

While quieter than the other turtles Leo was clearly an alpha personality. I do not think Favors or Hayward are alphas. I think the leadership role was being thrust on them instead of them taking it naturally. I don't think it was that effective.

Either way I think we see a clear leader emerge and I think it is Gobert. But we will see.

Hayward has proven his alpha personality.

And yeah, leadership was thrust on him and this was the first year he really took the reigns and proved that he could.

You have been proven wrong through a Ninja Turtles metaphor. Please stahp arguing.

Favors alpha? I'll be nice.
Hayward is Utah-alpha. Again, being nice.

Hey, I might just be able to make this nice thing a life choice rather than, like, a diet.

Oh sweet, who knows that is all it took. A game winning shot.

Well there you have it folks. You make a game winning shot and you are the leader. Ugh...

I've taken 6 game winning shots and am the leader of the whole damn brood.

Wait, are we talking about basketball? Last time I checked, taking the ball and hitting a game winning shot is about the most alpha thing you can do on a basketball court.

You have been prove wrong by Ninja Turtles and video evidence.

Hayward is goberts bitch.
Ya'll trippin

Yep...So if a game winning shot makes you a leader, the undisputed leader of the team is Trey Burke. LOL

So by your logic not being able to hit three free throws to tie a game with no time left should conversely knock someone off that "alpha" pedestal no?
