I think it's largely because of his relatively poor passing relationship with Gobert. Gobert took more shots than anyone else on the team off of passes from Ingles, and as the stats show, that connection just wasn't good, for whatever reason.

I worry a little bit (since Conley has some of the same pocket-pass expertise off the pick and roll as Ingles) that the Conley-Gobert connection won't be as quick developing as we might hope. I don't think Gobert, as of yet, does well with that pocket bounce pass.

That did but it's not like we retired his number or are going to. It's free game. He wasn't here long enough and didn't win enough to warrant retiring his number.

Ingles is a master bounce passer off the pick and roll. He's like a surgeon. We saw this countless times with Favors and will be missed.

Also Favors could receive the bounce pass 12-15 from the basket on the PnR and finish or get fouled the vast majority of the time.

Gobert can't handle the bounce pass off the PnR and he needs to receive the pass (most of the time) within 5 to 8 feet of the basket - usually up high.

Exum has a knack for making lob passes off the dribble drive - they're very difficult to defend. It's probably the best thing he does.

Maybe, but they’ve already let Josh Howard, Randy Foye, Diante Garrett, Bryce Cotton, Jonas Jerebko, and The Great Shelvin Mack wear it. What’s one more?
 
Exum has always made Gobert reach up for passes than reach down for bounce pocket passes. Easier when Exum is 6'6 and him and Gobert are playing above the defenders in the passing game.
