This like asking a baby what she/he wants to achieve in life as soon as the birth happens.

I think he has the tools for it. But the most important tools are the ones he's hiding in his sack. What are they made of? Steel or cotton? Time will tell. But we will have an opinion of him in less then a year, if he stands in any of the absurd statistical area of coaching.

I like his body language. But first press conference as a headcoach in career is not a good start to know someone (this is the 1st time I met him). So I'm gonna need more of him. Can't wait for the season to start (again).

Sloan never won because Utah was good just about every year he was here. The COY award should really be called "The Team With the Most Wins Over Last Year's Record Award' because more often than not, that's who wins (there are only a few exceptions where the best coach actually wins).

And what's amazing is that many coaches who win COY are out looking for a new job 2-3 years after that.

Hornacek got some serious consideration this year, so it's not out of teh question Snyder could win. I think the Jazz underachieved by 10 games due to injuries and just plain quitting on Corbin the last 2 months. A high draft pick, better bench and better coaching could improve the Jazz an additional 10 games. Make or even barely miss the playoffs and Snyder should get consideration for COY.

I bet he will win it this upcoming season. After the Jazz make it to the second round of the playoffs and Aaron Gordon wins ROY.

His first year will be his best year. Even getting an 8th seed in the West would be considered a huge accomplishment for a 1st year HC with a young team.

I think coaches and staff should vote each other without a border of conference, the whole league. Each coach should be given a pool that includes everyone except their name and drop it in. Because they have a better understanding of what goes on behind the scenes of that head coaching career. They know each other's challenges, respect each other relatively and understand/emphatize each other relatively.
