Taxed too much? Ever check out the tax record for the past century? Come back and tell me if we're still "taxed too much."
I also got a good chuckle from the cuts that you suggested. If you think that anyone in this country (especially the tea party nutcakes) are going to agree to cuts to their medicare, SS, and defense spending, then I have a nice piece of real estate in Florida for you to buy.
Oh by the way, there's a new insurgency brewing in Iraq... And
"US war commander General David Petraeus expressed doubts Monday about the prospect of a victory in Afghanistan by 2014, admitting that a "resilient" Taliban"

But that's ok. It's a lot easier to parade around in 18th century clothing talking about cuts to spending and freedom than to actually pay for two wars, endless spending for the oldies, and retarded tax cuts for rich people (for them to do what? Create jobs in India?).
You mean the two wars we are supposed to be out of by now? I don't need to look at the tax statistics. I shouldn't have to be giving my money to the US government so they can study the effects of marijuana on chimps. Whether you like it or not, Medicare and Social Security need a massive overhaul. Any Tea Partier who disagrees isn't a real Tea Partier to begin with. You talk about paying for two wars. How are we going to pay for the single-payer system you wanted? How are we going to pay for the current watered down version of health care we ended up getting. Answer: we aren't. We will just continue to pass down the debt to our kids and grandchildren until China gets smart and stops buying our debt which is on the horizon. No worries though. By then we will all be Trillionaires because the dollar will be devalued to the point that you will need to bring a suitcase full of bills to buy a candy bar.
