Will the Jazz make a trade to upgrade PG?

I don't buy it. There were deals to be had at thee trade deadline and nothing happened. There may be a list of guys that management may covet, but I don't buy that there is a general call out for a point guard.

Bobby Williams come on down. I'm not sure I'm buying this either. You have three young guns and why not give them another run. If the position is still lacking then upgrade.
 
'Distributing point guard'. Cool. I'm not opposed to a PG who racks up assists but if they truly want this why don't they just sign Kendall Marshall? ;-)
 
I could see a scenario where Trey goes and we take Payne... He could be really good and would complement Dante nicely. It would just be nice to get someone who is good now. I think there are some guys we can get in FA that I might like. Also, after the draft guys like Lowry, Lawson, etc. can be had probably cheaper than right now.
 
NO,the upgrade comes from within....and for Smith saying the Jazz are thinking this gets them in the playoffs doesn't know what he's talking about concerning the Jazz

The Jazz already think they can get in the playoffs by how they closed out the season,so do the Jazz fanz
 
If Jazz wanted a PG that is a leader that would push them into the playoffs they would not be looking at the draft. They would pick up a veteran player through FA or trade.
 
I don't buy it either. I'd be shocked if we drafted a PG. Our system doesn't rely on a traditional 'distributing PG" anyways.
I wouldn't be shocked if they made a move for a vet PG, though.

That's because Quin didn't have a distributing pg. I'm sure Quin would love to have a great pg and some great outside shooting, but he played the cards he was dealt.
 
Guess my Mavericks, Celtics Jazz darft day trade doesn't seem so silly now, now does it?

Mavericks receive: 28, Burke
Jazz receive: 16 & 21

Jazz take either Oubre, Dekker, or Portis @ 16... Delon Wright @ 21.

Delon Wright is a distributing defensive PG. Exactly what they want.
