Will the Jazz make a trade to upgrade PG?

What if the draft goes?

Towns
Okafor
Porzingis
Winslow
Russell

Do we make Orlando an offer? Do we have enough picks?

Edit: Wouldn't they have to srsly consider Burke, 12th, Future Pick(maybe 2)

Burke isn't worth what you think he's worth.

It's not Burke that we are selling. He is just a little frosting. It's the picks. If they can get Burke, Oubre, and a future(maybe two) that's kind of a lot.

Not for a top 5 pick, it's not. Unfortunately. I'd love to see them grab Russell, but I don't see it happening. And outside of Porzingis, I probably don't make that kind of offer. Better to hang onto future draft picks and see who falls to 12.

k?

Looking seriously like the Jazz will be picking one of these three,(Kaminsky,Turner,WCS),the one that slips to them......on most boards these three seem to be bunched together

If the Jazz want a PG, they can wait until the trade deadline. Dragic, Knight, Carter-Williams, Thomas and Jackson were all traded last year. PG is a loaded position right now, and there's no reason to make another major investment until after taking a long, hard look at Exum, Burke and even Burks over the first half of the season before doing anything.

I agree. There are enough good ball handlers on the roster right now outside of the PG role-- Hayward, Burks, Hood-- that we can more than get by, if it comes to that. Another rookie PG is not going to solve the problem. That said, most of the responses in this thread seem to be missing the point of the thread title-- the question isn't whether the Jazz will trade up to draft a high-potential PG, but whether or not a trade will happen that will upgrade our PG rotation... i.e., in the form of a proven veteran to replace Burke in the second unit and mentor Dante.

I'd love to see them grab Russell

I wouldn't. He's going to be a good PG, no doubt. But when it comes to distribution I'd rather have Wright. What with his defensive tenacity, passing abilities and his seniority. He's a guy you can place behind Exum right away and see production.

I would give up much more. Even include (gulp) Burks in the package.

Russell is my #1 guy for the jazz as well as my homer pick
