id rather have Harris/Watson/Tinsley than Miller/Harris/Watson/Tinsley/Denver keeping Chandler long-term
 
I still don't understand why Denver wants Chandler. They just signed Gallinari long term to be there starting SF.
 
See little chance of him signing here. Anything we could offer would be minimal and Denver would match.
 
I like Chander's game but I think for him to stay in Utah longterm - he would have to be overpaid (either now or most likely this summer). No knock against Chandler - I think he's a quality SF and an instant upgrade to the position for Utah - but IMO it would turn into a situation where you give a sizeable contract to a guy who will give you quality play but isn't the difference-maker you really need.

Rookie contracts are gold - with the way this season is heading for Utah, I'd prefer to wait until the draft before we commit longterm to a wing who isn't capable of being a go-to scorer.
 
Jazz have--for the 4 trillionth time--no money to acquire Wilson Chandler.

Howeva! The Jazz have a nice TPE that could be used to acquire someone like Jose Calderon for next to nothing (beating out LA's TPE + offer) so Toronto could offer Chandler a realistic deal.

Me like. Calderon averaging like 17 and 11 over the past 7 games.
 
I think that Chandler is just what the team needs. His ability to both hit the 3 and slash to the basket make him a great talent. He is also a great defender. His ability to spread the floor would allow the bigs to do their work without opposing teams able to pack it in. I would be willing to have the Jazz get very aggressive to get him. GO GET HIM KEVIN!!!!!

Some folks dont seem to think there is a CBA.
 
I bet Toronto would do s Calderon, Barbosa for Harris, Bell to open up more money for Toronto to offer Wilson Chandler. I'd pull that trade off
