With the Big Al possibly leaving ... who will be our closer

Kanter-Burks PnR

Yeah, that would make the most sense to me. Burks can blow by, and he is a good enough shooter that you may have to guard him throughout the PNR. Then Kanter can either roll or pop. You have to guard the whole floor on both players. I would prefer Hayward if he could improve his off the dribble shooting.

I personally like the idea of not having an obvious closer. Having multiple options such as a driving Burks, Hayward J, Favors alley oop or Kanter slam is a good way to keep teams off balance.

....that, my friend, is the way basketball is suppose to be played! Multiple options off a go to play....not a go to player!

OK from the comments and data I've come up with this

#1 Burks has the ball in his hands ... pick and roll play to Kanter = Kanter gets either fouled or a dunk ... and we all know our big man can shoot a free throw unlike someone in LA
#2 Burks pick and rolls but they deny Kanter = Burks makes a wide open shot if not he drives in and gets fouled
#3 Burks to Hayward = defense is tight and they're denying the usual plays that has won several games in last seconds heroics .. Hayward comes of a tight screen and hits a two or three off a Hornacek curl!
.
.
of course you win a few close games with that then you have to mix things up more

I actually think you need both. Play as a team where you have multiple options but have 1 player you can go to if needed. Just keep a balance.

I don't mind Hayward, but at most he has won 4 games. He is 4/12 in clutch, just above Mo Williams hero ball in efg%. Hayward finishes awesome on the break, but he can struggle when he drives in half court sets.

I'd just figure Hayward and Favors 3rd and 4rth options depending on what the defense gives you ... both of them would make great slashers once the defense closed in on other guys ++

Kanter or Burks. Hayward usually looks awful in last possessions when he has the ball in his hand. Just not good enough to ISO someone. I know people are against the whole "ISO" for the last shot attempt, but it's the safest route. I would probably say Kanter, because he is very Al like scoring wise, or Burks, because he can break down a defender.

I shivered down my spine. What if he would be just Al like?
