Anytime you lose a top 5 player it can't be considered great. Superstars are the keyholders to championships in the NBA. NOLA will now embark on the long hard search to find another, which could take 20 years.

Losing a top 5 player for nothing will cripple a team. Getting a top 5 pick, 3 solid players and 2 other 1st rounders is better than losing him for nothing.

I think NOLA ends up keeping Randle which will eat up most of their cap room. After that, I'll be interested to see what they do. My season ticket holder buddy said NOLA might make a huge push for Beal. Imagine that....

Between superstars demanding trades to LA and star free agents signing there, it's hard for normal teams to compete.

I think that NOLA will end up trading either Jrue or Lonzo. They have too many guys who need the ball in their hands to be at their most effective (Zion, Jrue, Lonzo, Ingram) and the spacing of their potential lineup is horrible. Zion needs shooters around him.

Also, I think Julius Randle is for sure out of NOLA now.
