WOJ: Korver to Jazz for Burks and 2 second rounders

Well, we lost some bench scoring. Bench scoring helps too. Korver will miss some games due to injuries (did I mention he's old?), and average less than 20 minutes in the games he plays. He also doesn't provide much beside hitting a three or two a game.

If it was some random player with Korver's production and age, you'd hear a collective ''meh'.

He could be a minor positive off the bench if the Jazz have more changes in mind. But for now, he doesn't really matter.
Do you believe in spacing?

So spacing can only be provided if it meets a minutes threshold? I’ve never heard that argument.

Really? Of course it matters how much he plays. He'll provide better spacing for only 15 minutes out of the 48. Again, we didn't get him for free. We had another player playing that many minutes and producing at a decent rate.

When Donovan can't drive into the lane because the other team can pack the paint, if you pull one defender out of the mix who can never get anywhere near the paint, how does that show up in the box score? Oh, right. It doesn't.

But it sounds like your argument is that spacing doesn’t matter until it reaches a heavy-minutes threshold.

I’m simply saying 15 is half of 30, not 0.

Spacing changes every play run, regardless of who puts up the shot(s). That’s why it’s a matter of near-obsession for me, besides all of the data that supports it.

Korver doesn't have that kind of gravity. He's an opportunist sharp shooter. Not Steph Curry. And he'll share the floor with Mitchell for only a few minutes a night since he won't start.
