Woj says the Jazz are listening to offers for Mitchell

Gotta convince the Kings Bev is worth a 1st. They’re young and need leadership to take the next step like the Wolves just did. Trade Bev to the Kings for a 2026 1st. They wouldn’t do it to soon.

I've been a jazz fan for over 25 years but I am excited to join jazzfanz at such a time as this to share all these new seasons with you. I am honored to witness these transitions with you all. Thank you for having me.
Welcome! We need some new blood around here. Would love to see some new active posters.

A Heat trade makes no sense IMO. Those picks could be 24-30. The Knicks would more likely be 10-20.

Once we pull this off, I’m for dumping Conley and Bogey. How about those two for Wall, filler and two 1sts? We could even make those 1sts like 2025 and 2027 by which point Kawhi and George should be a shell of themselves or even retired.
The Heat are a well-run org and I'd prefer not sending him there unless the package is just that good. I don't think it will be though.

The Knicks can offer the best package of anyone - DM makes 100% sense in every facet both on and off the court. There's too much smoke here for this not to have mutual interest.

Any chance it’s a 3 way?

Nets get Mitchell
Suns get Durant
We get a ton of picks and maybe Bridges and someone else?

No way Ainge makes that deal. He doesn't want any of those players, it's the picks that he's after, and there is no way in hell he's settling for just two first rounders.
I would have agreed with you before the latest Woj bomb as it seemed we were prepared to carry him to the deadline and beyond. Sounds to me like there’s more of a sense of urgency now. Maybe it’s a reaction to Mitchell’s recent isolation and wall of silence who knows. Maybe they feel that without the big fella in the middle, Mitchell gets exposed on D, driving his market down, I don’t know. But whatever it is, this is not the same cat and mouse **** Ainge is famous for.

I want no part of anything with Brooklyn. They will want every pick. hey can try to find that value on their own without our help.

One of the best things about the Minnesota deal was that we didn't get any long term or bad contracts. When looking at a Donovan Mitchell deal we should only be concerned about the picks and any rookie contract players. If the team needs to include some larger contracts to make the deal work then that will cost them more picks.

The deal shouldn't be evaluated based on the talent level of players we receive, but on how well the deal sets us up to make our own 2023 pick as good as possible and the amount of future picks / rookie contract players that can shape our team of the future.
