Baseball????? It doesn't really have a time.

Since they don't stop the clock in soccer when guys are down and stuff like that, I think it's only fair to add a few minutes at the discretion of the refs. I agree it makes the end of the game much more exciting to think that the team that's behind has a bit of an extra chance to tie and or win.

There are plenty of close basketball games where the momentum shifts at the end and I wish they could just add two more minutes to the end of the game.

Yeah, I thought about that too, but it's still no mystery when the game ends, the same with tennis. Anyways, I just thought it was odd they don't show stoppage time cause I have no idea when the game is going to end and they players don't too.

That's not entirely true. The stoppage time to be played is displayed on the substitution board. Players know from that point they have that amount of time to wrap it up. No, they don't know down to the second, but the referee is not going to call the game in the middle of a run, either. He will wait until the play is neutral.

Do you really think so? I have doubts. Germany did look awful good but Argentina has really hit their stride.
It will be a great match either way and I am looking forward to watching it.

Yep, I think Argentina's been coasting and I usually find that teams who aren't tested early on at some point fall asleep and lose a game they perhaps otherwise could have or should have won. I also think that Argentina's defense is nothing special. Add in the fact that Germany's still pissed about 2006 and I like our chances.

Booooyeah!!!!! Holland upsets the heavyweight Brazil side! Great way to start the weekend, if you're a pasty white guy like me.
