Would Dante benefit from a month or two in the D-League?

Maybe instead of D-league he should work with an MMA/wrestling/jujitsu trainer to get used to hard contact.

and he's been saying to trey burke for a lot of the season "overdribble like your life depends on it, completely ignore your 4 guys and jack up ridiculous shot after ridiculous shot, drive into the paint and then run back out with it again. And for crying out loud, don't make any attempt to stay in front of your man on d"

I get your point dude and agree on his lack of assertion but i think you're being a little hysterical about it all. I'd be disappointed in the coaching if the players aren't being instructed on specifics of what he wants them to be doing. It's one thing to hear Quin say he wants aggression but without knowing details of what he's asking him to do all the bitching is a little over the top. A year or two and i think he'll be quite different.

How about sending him to Iowa and let him learn a little from ex Jazz man Diante Garrett. I would say send him to Idaho but they are about talentless. Garrett wasn't a world beater last year for us but he has some veteran savy and could convey some things to the youngster to get his confidence back.

If I remember correctly, those games came at the very end of the season.

But I agree--I'm not worried about Dante yet. We need more time.

IIRC, Hayward was the top 3PT shooter in the league after the all-star break. So it wasn't just a few games.
 
Here's what Quin said today about Dante:

"I think realistically it's going to take a little bit of time. The potential... it's a good thing and it's a hard thing. The potential is high for Dante but because of that there could be expectations in the short run, because you can look ahead and extrapolate and say "This guy has a chance to be real good". So I think for one thing, he just has to stay in the present, as we all do. I'd just like to see him let it loose more, you know... just attack and be aggressive and ... he's such a conscientious kid that he's often trying to make the right play or make a play for a teammate. I like when he's really aggressive offensively and I can live with some of those mistakes cause I think with his ability over time that he will get more and more efficient. The other thing that he can do today that is important is that he can defend the ball. And with his length he should be able to really bother people. And he's unique in that sense cause in the west he's one of the bigger guards and if he can embrace that right now, I think that's the part of the game where he can be effective and make an impact and it's a little bit easier to hang on to right now than some of parts of the game offensively that require a little bit more precision, patience, experience."
