What's new

Would you trade Jefferson and Kanter for Brook Lopez?

Shocked people would not be higher on a guy who is shooting 56 percent from the field and scoring 20 points per game. Seven rebounds a game is pretty rough for a guy his size but he seems to box out pretty well. He is also averaging 1.7 blocks a game.

The foot is an issue but I am confident they can get the bone healed up in time for next season.

I think Jazz would do this trade in a heartbeat I think its Brooklyn, that are a little desperate right now, that would not do this trade and would probably ask for draft pick(s)

I think the bigger issue is how big of a reward will you get for taking the $15M/yr risk for the next three years. I think it'd be fantastic to have a guy like him, but a questionable health history coupled with a large contract is a little steep for someone who's awesome but not that awesome.

foot injury from a big men? too risky especially for a max cat.

just too bad because he was still getting better and better. offensively i think he is the best at his position. added a little jump hook and up and under to his offensive repertoire. he also goes straight up to finish it without putting the ball on the floor which i like.

but man, that foot injury is a killer. twice in 3 years? no thanks.

This year does not matter for salary. Next year we won't need to resign anyone besides Hayward so unless we are going after a bunch of expensive free agents salary is not an issue next year.
Even the year after it will only hurt is if we want to sign Alex to a max deal which I dont see happening.
