What's new

Would you trade Jefferson or Millsap for Jrue Holiday?

Don't like him one bit, and hasn't done anything for 2/3 of the season. He reminds me of a younger Harris he's a sg in a pg's body.

You realize right that he is a giant point guard who is just a little two small to be considered average sized for a NBA SG. He slightly taller and longer than Russell Westbrook.

He is a completely different style of player than Harris. Harris's game is based on speed. Jrue uses more strength and size coupled with his jumper.

Holiday doesn't use his strength, expect maybe on defense. Offensively he is a jumpshooter. He doesn't get to the foul line at all. Not nearly as athletic as Harris (even with the age disparity, Harris is still a better athlete).

Holiday has potential. He is a smart player, good defender, and has more of a natural PG feel than Harris. He would be better in Utah because of how much attention is put in stopping our interior players, but Im not about to give him a large contract after his rookie deal expires.

I came late to the debate, but here is the last post for this thread. Never trade big for small in the NBA.

even when that big is al jefferson?

(sorry, i just couldn't resist posting after you declared the conversation over.)

This is actually a good point- Big Al isn't a prototypical big man. He doesn't finish strong at the rim very often and he draws few fouls. He does block some shots but he is a terrible rebounder.
